I was watching part of the BIG Prometheus making of on the blu ray last night.

Has anyone seen the Noomi Rapace screen-test?

She looks like she could kick anyone's a$$ when she flexes her guns.

No not Noomi, but Rooney Mara would actually make a very interesting Gamora! She'd have to hit the weights but she would have a leaner, more assassin-like physique.

If only they could put a talented actress' brain in Jessica Biel's body. That creature would rule Hollywood.

Honestly though, it would be a damn shame if said body never got a chance to squeeze into a spandex costume. damn shame. and if you think of all the mediocre actresses that Whedon has put to good use, theres no reason she couldnt be serviceable as a relatively straightforward character like Gamora. I think maybe Ive pooh poohed her excessively. In an ensemble she could work.

I agree that she will probably be on the short list.

Biel's body is unique. Jen Lawrence is a better actress no doubt, but she doesnt have what Biel has. But hey Im all about acting ability, not physique, so Id be thrilled with Ms. Lawrence in a Marvel movie. (Jen has a fine body btw. Not pooh poohing it in the least)

But for those who want the actor on the screen to look like the impossibly toned yet voluptous sexy heroes in the comics, Biel is your gal. If she had Lawrence's talent and "presence", she would be the ideal big screen superhero.

edit: JL wasnt a very good Mystique though. The makeup just didnt work for her and her character wasnt particularly memorable. But she would probably be great in a Marvel movie. She'd be fine as Ms. Marvel for example.

Marvel Studios has just cast the role of Gamora, The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy, from the studio's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film slated for a 2014 release.

The part of Gamora will be played by John Cena in a wig.

well, if the actress is going to be in heavy make-up/CGI like Zoe Saldana in Avatar, then it doesn't really matter which actress they cast for Gamora.

...why would Gamora need to be CGI? Or even heavily made-up? She's got green skin; in all other respects, she looks like a normal human woman.
