My complaint with this series (aside from costumes) is how they tend to shy away from naming people. I don't recall them ever saying the Royal Flush Gang's name...if they did I must have missed it. And seriously...how have news stations or papers NOT given Green Arrow a name yet? That's like the first thing they would do!

For the purposes of the Arrow universe and in keeping consistent with Ollie's Bruce Wayne like focus on "the mission," the Royal Flush gang was handled well. It is clear that Dig will become Ollie's concience of sorts, pushing Ollie to become a crime fighter and not just a vigilante. To that end, this episode is a fantastic foundation for that transition.

Also, this episode really falls in line with the overarching theme of the series about the impact that the greed of the 1% has on the 99%. Though the show is making no concerted effort to be a sociopolitical vehicle, thematically it is quite clear that much like Ollie's 1960s reinterpretation, this show and its characterization of Ollie is at least a reflection of our times, if not in part a symptom. To say the least, the story fulfills the common DC trope of the seemingly altruistic capitalist that champions the common man (arguably an American myth).

Lastly, I felt that "Damaged" was the better episode. "Legacies" has been the first lull in an otherwose well paced and well plotted series. Still, it was not an unenjoyable episode unto itself. It simply lacked the same intensity as previous episodes in the season. I am excited about the forth coming Huntress episode. It makes me hopeful that Dinah will become some rendition of Black Canary.

I don't recall them being named either, though it kinda wouldn't make sense anyway. Seeing as how there are only four members, not five.

First things first the opening was very cool, it's hard not to draw comparisons to the opening of the Dark Knight seen as though this shows template has adopted many many things from Nolan's Bat-series but just like the Dark Knight opening it was a great way to introduce the antagonist(s) and their motivations. Much like TDK it was an opening with nothing we haven't really seen before but again it was very very cool.

On the Royal Flush Gang I did think they were always going to be hard to tone down to a real world style but it strangely worked. Of course if your a fan of the Royal Flush Gang that showed up in say Justice League: Doom then I would say this probably isn't for you. Fortunately I was happy with this interpretation.

My one main question of this weeks show is why does Thea think Tommy is interested in her when she knows he's been getting it on with Laurel?

I'm so glad Diggle called Oliver out on fighting for the little guy, Green Arrow has always fought for the little guy so I was very happy with this.

Arrow breaking into the Police Station was cool but a little short.

The Flush Gang/Police/Arrow shoot out was awesome and Arrow used a trick arrow whoop!

Once again the flashbacks were superb, I would love an episode that's more flashback than anything else.

The Tommy/Laurel stuff was ok I suppose but I wasn't that interested. I'm pretty sure this is all gonna payoff eventually though. I'm just worried if Tommy is to turn evil then it'l be because if Laurel and not something else.

I didn't like that Oliver revealed himself to Reston at the end but meh. The action scenes weren't as good as previous episodes but still decent.

Lastly, where the hell was Detective Lance this week?

A good episode but probably weakest so far for me 8/10

I quite liked this episode. I suppose I would call it a lull, but not to "OMG this is so bad" levels, I just found the Tommy/Laurel scenes a bit slow, and was a little depressed that the Royal Flush Gang weren't high society types (though some brief research suggests they were only a wealthy family in Batman Beyond, but that was my first exposure to them). However, I did like the way they created the masks, the use of trick arrows, and the fact the Oliver seems to be moving more towards the traditional hero role. Overall, I'd say it was a solid episode with some scenes I didn't really like.

Really enjoyed this weeks episode, not as good as last week but that will be tough to beat, I didnt mind how they did the RFG as its an origin series and they can always come back.

Thought the character development in this ep was great, Ollie becoming more heroic by helping the little people, and not killing anyone either, which was great to see. Another nice episode for me.

Yes I liked how he didn't kill anyone this week and actually wanted to save the dad when he got shot by telling the guard to call an ambulance. Hopefully he will develop his trick arrows a bit more now. Maybe Flash Bang arrows or Taser arrows, something along those lines so he stops using lethal force.

I'd rather see him just shoot people in the arms and legs instead, taking them out with minimal damage.

Yeah, thought that was all good development and hope they keep doing it slowly and subtly to show a progression.

He did that is the son of the RFG, sure he has done it in other episodes as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they never actually called them the Royal Flush Gang right? If so I could see them maybe doing a more comics version later either a return of this version with a new King or maybe just retcon thus version (which I hope they don't). As much as I loved Smallville they did far too many retcons.

There's a major plot hole I think this episode has.

So Oliver refused to go after the Royal Flush Gang because they weren't on the list? Here's my question. Why the hell did he go after Deadshot?

Deadshot wasn't on the list either thus Oliver had no reason to go after him. Even if you could argue he went after him because Deadshot was targeting the people on the list before he was, remember that when he has his final battle with Deadshot, Oliver gives him a whole speech on how he is out only for himself and hurts innocent people and that the difference between them is that he (Oliver) kills for justice while Deadshot hurts innocents. Doesn't sound to me like the same guy who would say 3 episodes later "What? An innocent man was shot and hospitalized? Not my problem! The criminals are not on my list."

On top of that, in episode 4 when he tries to get Diggle to join him, he sites his victory to Deadshot as an example of something he achieved that the authorities couldn't. If he really didn't care about catching any other person not on the list, why would he tell Diggle "Hey, look what good I can do. I caught this dangerous guy called Deadshot that hurts innocents. If you join me, you can help to take down people like him too and make a difference" ? I don't buy it's because Deadshot was the killer of Diggle's brother because according to this episode, since Oliver believed the only way to save his city was by targeting the list and wanted Diggle to help him save the city, then this means Oliver intended for Diggle to only help him against the people targeting the list (that is before this episode).

I just couldn't buy it that this was the same Oliver from episodes 3 & 4. I really feel this episode should've taken place before those episodes due to this.

Deadshot killed one of Arrows target and also shoot him if I'm not mistaken, that's why he went after him...
