Ha ha, I saw the movie on the opening day, first show and then again after one week with a group of friends, both times the crowd in the theater was cheering, shouting, clapping every appearance of Batman, it was unbelievable, I have never witnessed anything like that before, so yeah I may have missed some parts.

And then, it has been such a long time since I saw the movie, I may have forgotten some parts.

I noticed in the credits the name Scott Sakamoto...a hugely talented camera operator. That's why i friggin adored some of the steady shots of the movie. I didnt know he was involved in the movie.

As soon as Bruce escapes the pit, there's a shot of Tom Conti as if he just realized something. Not sure what that's about.

Also, why did Bruce throw the rope down the pit once he climbed out? Isn't he releasing criminals? How different is this than what Bane did?

The pit is Bane's prison now so it's most likely just full of people that pissed Bane off or people that were ruining his plans. Plus how can you not free those people? They're so supportive!

I also just noticed in the football scene, as Bane is looking from the tunnels, he sees a microcosm of the stratified world of haves and havenots, as before him you see the mayor and his buddies on top in the box seats and the fans out in the cold. A very nice touch

Nice catch. The irony of it is how damn HOT it was that day as we put on our coats and scattered about in mass panic for Nolan

Apparently, Sibi, Emma, and I think Wally were in the ballroom scene (cameos). I just read that on another forum so I'm not sure if that's true. Although I don't know why that would be credit as "stunts".

Caught it the first time I saw it in theaters....and glad to confirm it on the Blu-Ray.

In like the second shot of Gotham after the nuke goes off, basically in the middle of the shot there is a "Philadelphia Phillies" banner hanging in the window in the middle of the screen. Noticed by the white Phillies "P" on the field of red.

As a die-hard Phillies fan, this continuity error (a Phillies flag in Gotham) is fine with me. (I know there could be a Phillies fan in Gotham...but really).

I thought it was funny that Alfred brought it up with the "Why are your people using the main staircase" because I thought about it for a sec that in a public speech/gathering like that caterers/servers wouldn't be walking behind those giving the speech like that. Since we (the audience) noticed it of course Alfred had to get those peeps in line.

There's a shot of a specific prisoner when Conti talks about the plague that I thought may be a young Bane, but the body type is too slender.

You guys are going to think I'm nuts for writing this much about a small issue. But its a huge issue that cheapens the reveal at the end of the movie.

There is something that has bothered me that I have not seen anyone bring up over the summer regarding one of this year's biggest and most polarizing movie: The Dark Knight Rises. My problem that baffles me regards what I assume to be a semi-plot-hole that has not been mentioned by anyone. By your definition, I'm not even sure if it is a plot hole but it is a glaring contradiction.

Here it goes:

When Bruce comes back to Gotham after spending some time in Bane's "home" he meets up with Selina Kyle and together they go and meet up with Lucius Fox who is being guarded by Bane's men/League of Shadows while also being accompanied by Miranda Tate (who we learn at the end of the movie is really running the show as Talia). Sorry for that rather large sentence. So Bruce reveals he is back in Gotham and that he is alive which is very important to the plot and the characters. Bruce leaves Fox and Tate and goes off somewhere else with Selina.

The movie skips a scene or two and we are next at the Gordon/Ice scene where Bruce shows up as Batman, takes out the League "ninjas" and tells Gordon to light a puddle of gasoline with a flare. The flare ignites a flame that spreads up the side of a bridge to reveal a giant flaming bat-symbol. Cut to Bane who says "Impossible. Keep the girl close, he will come for her."

And that is my problem. Maybe I am reading too much into this but for the plot to work it has to have some logical sense. Ok, so Miranda is revealed to be Talia al Ghul at the end. Now that we know this, we know Talia saw Bruce when he first came back from the pit prison so we can safely assume that Talia told Bane that Bruce was back in town. But why was Bane surprised when he saw the flaming bat-symbol and why did the audience need to see him act out a charade amongst HIS MEN who already KNOW the full scope of Talia/Bane's plan. Thats just really goofy and kind of a movie-fake out meant to push you away from suspecting Miranda Tate is in fact Talia al Ghul while you are watching the movie. The only way I can see this working was if Fox was shown amongst Bane and his men during that moment which would give a reason for that ridiculous charade.

Is this a plot hole? Is it a continuity error? Is this asking audiences that are rewatching the movie for ___ number of times to take a leap of logic? Or is this lazy writing? Please tell me what this is and if I am crazy for being the only one talking about this contradiction.

I noticed (as did other people) back when the movie came out, it seemed like the editing was "off."

Christopher Nolan changed the scene order from the old script published in the trilogy screenplay book.

It was there
1) Scene with Selina, Lucius, Bruce, and Miranda (Abandoned Stock Exchange)
2) Crane court scene with Gordon and Miranda.

In the film he shuffled the order.
