I saw twilight the other night and Lee Pace has the voice for bats, he doesnt have to create bats voice hes already got it. Its the first time ive seen him act in anything and initially i thought he was a Brit. Im Looking forward to The Hobbit to see more of his acting.

I don't want Lee Pace either, But to be fair, Christian Bale did not look very mature in Batman Begins either.

^bale has strong facial features and a strong jaw it makes him have that mature look he did'nt look baby faced

for batman his mouth/jaw area needs to look strong since as batman thats all you see that's why bale worked so well he looked great under the cowl

Agreed, Bale looked great in Batman costume whether it was BB suit or TDK suit.

Yes he did.

He looks way more mature than the others there. He has sharp facial features and chisled looks. He always looked badass and serious to me.


For a 30 year old Year One Batman, he looked as mature as possible.

I actually think Pace is a solid choice. At the very least, he's a much better suggestion that Worthington. Part of me wishes Worthington would have gotten thrown in jail for a couple of years for his recent drunken outrage, just so people would stop suggesting him for superhero roles for a while.

From what I've read, it's been more of a "Maybe Worthington can do it?" type of suggestions instead of actually vying for him.

On my part, it's been more of realistically Worthington is a name WB will have on a list for this.

Less to do with whether I actually want him in this role.

Bale is a tough act to follow, and Worthington really isn't someone who can live up to that.

New suggestion. I've been catching up on Homeland, and Rupert Friend caught my eye as a potential Batman candidate. Check out the interrogation scene in episode 5 of season 2 and I think you'll see what I mean.

He sure does. That voice was made for Batman, imo. He also happens to be a brilliant actor, which helps. I've seen him play everything from a scruffy, love-sick lower-class Brit, to a suicidal paraplegic, to a shady future-CIA director, to a deranged killer (2 of those, lol), to a transgendered woman, to the sweetest pie-maker you'd ever meet. He can play anything. And honestly, he only comes across baby-faced to me in some pictures. Many times, especially in motion, he seems to have a very old-fashioned masculine handsomeness to him, imo, which is of course backed up by The Voice. So yeah, I'm all for him as Batman.
