It could happen. Zimmer has re-used and re-worked old cues in new scores before. Molossus from the Dark Knight Trilogy is a re-working of Zimmer's work on Black Rain (1989).

Oh, it is. I just don't want the theme to be temp-tracked into the final film, just have the score follow a similar tone and style.

Because personally I don't like that. It's good for went Pa Kent dies probably or when Clark's discovering himself but there has to be a Legendary, Epic, Inspirational theme too.

He's not an Anti-hero like Batman, Dark and Sombre suits Batman! Superman is more Epic and Heroic.

It's obvious that this movie is going to be damn near Nolan somber. I'm not saying that's what I was hoping for but I have come to terms with it. As long as the movie isn't as dull as the last film and is fairly decent, I'll live with them turning Supes into a slightly lighter version of Nolan's Batman.

And before someone cries "How do you know how dark it's going to be?" I'll say look at the teaser poster and trailer and the comic con trailer, none of that marketing points to the movie being much lighter in tone than Nolan Batman movies. So unless they are misleading us those are my thoughts on the tone.

I'm very psyched to hear what Zimmer has come up with, I really hope he uses something similar to his Backdraft work.

My favourite Zimmer score though is Inception.

Anybody seen the scientific documentary Through The Wormhole? Zimmer did the theme and I guess it has a very spacy Superman'esque vibe to it. It's fairly good. Starts at 00.29 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7olw77aU0o

Sorry that was Terrible.

Some of the sounds were good but the thing as a whole when put together sounded like something you'd expect on a 80's Twilight Zone or other late night jingle. Really not impressed with that one.

I just hope he comes through with some Epicness it's something I'm really worried about.

I'm not really worried myself. I know he'll do something fitting and as long as it isnt something like the Williams' theme, then it's all good.
