I dunno. A full-on invasion leaves little entrance for Brainiac in a sequel. But maybe they're planning a full-on global thing with him instead.

Jeez, Brainiac really needs to be a villain. I've always wanted to see how that would be handled in film. I'm here for Brainiac and Metallo as future villains ( aside from the obvious choice of Lex)

I'm putting my bets in on MOS2 being all Lex. With him psychologically breaking Supes down over battle for the heart of Metropolis. Similar to TDK Joker by making Supes make impossible judgement calls and murdering innocents.
MOS3 I can see Snyder doing Doomsday. Not the bland version from the comics. But some reimagined Kryptonian monster that can just break Supes. It's not necessarily what I would do (I'd much rather see the trilogy end with Superman transcending Earth and laboring in the sun ala All-Star). |

I guess I could see that. MOS2 going for the epicness that is Brainiac invading all of earth, and MOS3 being a smaller intimate battle with Lex and his Metallo-creation. I still keep picturing Lex as Supes final villain. A mere human being close to bring the big blue down when cosmic foes havent been able to.

I don't think I want a straight up adaptation of either.

Yeah, the AllStar-thing was way better than anything Doomsday. He shouldnt be allowed into this franchise.

I'm not saying he should be the main and/or only villain of the film, but I think he could make for an, at least visually, interesting villain on film.

Plus I just think since we were close to getting a Doomsday film in the 90s it just seems like something WB would do. I would love to see All-Star adapted for film. I'd just cut the more literary elements (samson and atlas, bizzaro world) and I think you end up with a pretty tight film that could easily be translated. Even having Lois have superpowers for a little bit would be a nice inversion of the first superman film with Superman flying her to now being Supes' equal. Plus superpowered Lex transforming Metropolis into his totalitarian state. Just think having something as simple as Superman saving the goth girl from suicide would have a big impact on the mainstreams opinion on Superman. It's such a powerful scene in the comic. Imagine if translated to a live scene. |

Yeah, another reason why I dont want Doomsday, especially for the third part. Like you say. I'm sure they could write something different if they want that same earth-shattering battle onscreen.

Plus Doomsday or Darkseid in the final film of the trilogy (if it ever happens) would be quickly distinguishable from Bane just by their nature. It's just final film you gotta up the power and physicality of the villain yknow. |

Please not Metallo or Parasite in this series.
Tired of seeing a de-powered superman fighting on screen. What this series needs to do for it's second installment is attack a well known arc. The hype at that point would be fever and perfect for such a thing.

I doubt we'll ever get either of these. Only cause Metallo is too visually similar to the Terminator. As for the Parasite, I can't see a slob who eats a radioactive donut (Geoff Johns Secret Origins) carrying a film.

What a second MOS film really needs is a great first film.

Within the next 10 minutes everyone share the countdown and let's see how much we can increase it by. It's been for 59% for hours! |

I'm also sure we wont be spared from Superman being exposed to kryptonite, although I prefer it be used by Lex in a new way.

I'm thinking since it's moving at around ~10% per day now we might get the 'exclusive' on Monday. (Isn't that when we've traditionally gotten new stuff anyway for this film?)

If Lex ends up being the villian for a sequel than I think we would get a reference to him at the end of MOS. Like thy did with the Joker in Batman Begins. Obviously, this movie trilogy doesn't have to follow the same exact blueprint of the Batman trilogy but since we have the same screenwriter I wouldn't be surprised if they leave a clue to a sequel.
