New characters you want to see in the First Class sequel?

Taylor Lautner might be a good choice for Thunderbird, if they want to add the character and get a bit of Twilight box office at the same time! Or maybe he would be good as Sunspot too.

curiously while watching a tv interview to him and his cast mates some days ago, I thought exactly about him as Thunderbird. I wouldnt mind it at all. It would be a smart marketing decision...... althought it would be better an unknown, so we all could believe the role a bit more, instead of "seeing Taylor" everytime.

I don't think Taylor would help the box-office performances of the movie that much. I feel like people only liked him because of the Twilight mania.

You're probably right. The other films in which Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have appeared haven't reached Twilight heights (although Snow White and the Huntsman did pretty well).

no actor guarantees a boxoffice success. So that reason is kind of pointless regarding actors to return for this or future sequels.

Hugh Jackman biggest movies were the x-men sequels, so that speaks for itself.

well, Will might be the exception, but now that Im seeing the numbers, Seven Pounds only did 69 millions on USA. so not all his movies are big hits.

But if we discuss only about X-men franchise actors, yeah, none has that power.

If they cast Will Smith, he could definitely bring the huge $$$ at the box-office especially X-Men is an action film, so Will Smith + X-Men could definitely appeal to a lot of people.

as much money as he would bring, I'd preffer him out of this franchise.

I like the idea of smaller names for supporting characters. In my opinion, the characters that should have a big name are the villains of each sequel.

it makes me wonder if they really are going to cast a young, Scott, Jean, or Ororo. I have a feeling that the time (mind) traveler is going to be one of the X-Men from Singer's films, pre X3. I have a feeling that Xavier, by mistake is killed instead of the "political" target and w/no one to fight for mutant rights, the dream "dies" w/Xavier and whoever that X-Man that goes back to the past will be happy to see him alive, and X will read his mind, like he did Emma's, and see the future. The only way I see this film having any impact/heart is if they bring back one of the original 3 and re-cast that character as a teen...to show the audience how much Xavier meant to the team and mutant rights

They can't keep killing Xavier though. That would just be...for lack of term...overkill!

well when you think about it he's not really dead in X3 and besides his death in X3 really didn't have much impact. Now if he was killed in this DoFP story acr we def. see how much of an impact his death had w/o no one to fight for peace and co-habitation, you have Magneto taking on that role of more violent message and hence which led to Sentinels, the war and the distopian future... if you have Netflix online watch the TAS epi of One Man's Worth, dealing w/Xavier passing...

I get what you're saying about him not really dying in X3. However they can't keep killing characters in these movies and then have them killed again. It just cheapens deaths and gives it less oomph. That's why I thought it was incredibly short-sighted of them to have killed three prominent X-men in TLS. What were they thinking??

^I agree, Scott's and Xavier's death had no impact or meaning at all in TLS, it didn't drive the story at all, especially Scott...that's why i think Scott should be intro. to give his character an actuall arc...
