I didn't want to make a brand new thread... hoping this one will suffice for us Hot Toys fanatics.
I finally received the rest of the pieces today for my custom "Happy" Thug from the Bank Robbery scene in the Dark Knight. The picky collector in me wishes I picked up an actual black shirt... but by dying this white one I saved myself about 30 bucks. Considering the "Happy" mask came with Joker DX 2.0, the figure in all only cost about $60 after picking up all of the pieces off of eBay. Let me know what you think! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Why thank you, sir! Do you have a collection as well? What is your favorite Hot Toy?

That is a awesome custom! I had no idea that exclusive mask was actual mask that could go on a head. Thought it was just a prop. I don't have the 2.0, but want to buy just the mask now for this same project. Hopefully this exclusive isn't as expensive on ebay as the other I am looking for. That kryptonite for Superman has some crazy prices.

I used a Jake Gyllenhal head for underneath. It fits perfectly with no fuss. Not sure how it will fir over other heads but Jake's sculpt has the right hair color and length so it was a no-brainer. The navy blue suit I got from seller meizijituan01 in China. It took about 2 or 3 weeks to get here but it was very worth it. I have the Bank Robber Joker figure as well and the quality of the suit is very similar which I didn't find when I compared with other 1/6 scale suits. Cost was about $34. As for the body and shoes... I got em as a package deal with the Gyllenhal head. It was a unique item from the seller so they don't have anymore. But it should be easy to find an affordable one. I also skipped on the all black shirt... But I'll probably get one eventually because the dyed shirt doesn't look right. I half-assed sculpted his red/silver horse tie clip so I have to find a nice replacement for it eventually. If you have suggestions I'd appreciate it!

Also, I have never posted a pic to anything but eBay. Can't figure it out but do want to add to the Hot Toys pics around here.

Ok if these pics come out screen size I will probably be deleting them. If not, keep in mind I haven't really started looking for any kind of glass case for these because I can't stop buying the figures. There are more I want as well already and more coming out, 2 on pre order, yada yada. Also, just started collecting these last year really. Anyway, I've found these very hard acrylic cases that seal shut are very reliable until I can get a detolf or find something similar around here. I'll have to drive 4 hours to get the detolf case to avoid the crazy shipping charges. Anyway

Also can't have as many gadgets in these confined cases. DX stands don't fit either...just barely. I've pondered building a shelving system with displays and covering with new fish tanks turned upside down. Buck saved is another figure.

I would love to see some pics of this tumbler next to something to show the size of it. Someone in the Movie Master thread posted a pic of the other but I couldn't find it.

Your collection is INCREDIBLE, Raindog! Kudos to a nice display scenario as well. I like your idea about the upside down fish tanks... I'm in your boat as far as saving more to buy more ![]() The Detolf is sadly the only good option. While it is a great, easy to assemble case at an affordable price... It would be nice to have some options. But it should be well worth the drive for you. The photo above does the size of the Batmobile some justice.

Do you have any Marvel collections raindog? If so I would love to see it.

I do not. I have a few in mind I am going to try and get first depending on price range. Wish I would have stumbled upon these earlier. Sideshow has a giveaway for the Avengers Thor right now. Entered that obviously. I hear it's a real piece of work, especially the cape.

Botmon, thanks for the help on photobucket. Didn't think it would be that easy but it was. Thanks for the kind words about my friends too. Seems like you might have a few as well. I wish Selina would hurry up and get out. Whatever it takes for them to maintain quality though. I'm seeing they don't rush anything. Which is probably why I don't have any complaints with any of the ones I have....except the Toy Fair Begins Batman's left boot. Perfection takes time. I bet they rushed that first Ledger head sculpt. Yikes, who is that.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here it is, guys! The Hot Toys Batmobile! It is GIGANTIC. I tried taking a photo farther away so you can see just how HUGE this thing it. The Batman in the photos is by Takara. I got him about 6 years ago or so. It is not Hot Toys, but it's very good quality for the price I paid for him... even then. He is a lot thinner than the actual Batman Begins Batman... but I kinda like him that way. I always thought that the way he was portrayed in Begins was a bit "beefy". I have quite a few Hot Toys: DX Joker 2.0 Banker Robber Joker Cop Joker "Happy" Bank Robber (custom) Two Face Scarecrow Bane Commissioner Gordon in SWAT Gear Raindog... I hear you on the Catwoman. They've pushed her back a time or two... but I think it will be for the best. I have her on pre-order. Excelsior... I don't have any Avengers Hot Toys.... YET! But i DO have Diamond Select Avengers Figures. They're 7" scale figures and they are quite awesome. I love my Dark Knight Mattel Movie Masters Collection. But I have to say, the Diamond Select Avengers figures blow those out of the water. So far I have:Hulk Hawkeye Captain America (1940's suit) Thor Chiatauri (from the New York Invasion) Pretty sure Tony and Loki are the last ones I need. They haven't released Fury, Black Widow, Coulson or anyone else. Hopefully they will someday. Are you a Hot Toys collector yourself?

Thanks, Joker!
I was thinking about making a blog site for my collection. The plan is to feature one of my items every week or so. I like photographing them so there'd be a ton of pics... A description of them item... And a personal story or something. Then there'd be a spot where everyone can talk about it, compare their experiences, or give recommendations on a better version if it. Does that sound lame or would you all actually visit a site like that?

I would visit. Love looking at others collections just as much as mine if that makes sense. Get different poses, display ideas...etc. A different pose with one of these figures can make it go from a 90% likeness to a 120% likeness. Except the Jack Nicholson Joker. It's dead on no matter what.

I would love to do a 1/6 scale version of the Arkham Batmobile, a 1/6th Arkham Batman figure would also be cool if they made one.
