He's certainly capable. I just can't see him taking on another book when he's doing 2 issues of Spider-Man per month at the rate he's been going. He seldom takes breaks. During his Big-Time run he took the 2 issues off that Gage did with the Spidey/Academy student team up and Mark Waid did the 1 issue concluding the Spidey/DD/Black Cat story.

Perhaps one day when he feels he's done enough with Spider-Man a big franchise book will be waiting for him like Avengers or X-Men.

Not to mention, he's always talking about how long it takes for him to script issues.

I want him to stay on Spidey because he's doing a great job in my opinion. That said, I'ld like to see him on something like Deadpool or Dr Strange just for something different

Why not?

Instead of a poor orphan with webs he'd be writing a rich orphan with a kick ass car.

Didn't he do that Arkham Asylum book that introduced the Great White Shark? Or was that somebody else?

Says the guy who suggested Slott write the most overused character in the Marvel U this side of Wolverine.

Conversely, Seeing him do something for DC again would be way more out there than him writing anything for Marvel.

Marvel's treated him pretty well, though. I wouldn't want to leave the company if I'd worked my way up the ranks and eventually got rewarded with my dream book. I'm kind of wondering how long it'll take Slott to run out of ideas for Spider-Man at this point. He could probably write the character forever if sales hold up.

Deadpool? I think he could do some great things with him since they're abandoning the multiple voices aspect

By that logic seeing him do something for Image would be way more out there seeing as he's already worked for Marvel and DC

But as i've already said, I'm perfectly happy for him to stay on Spider-Man as i'm loving his work

It might be a little early for me to say since NOW is still getting going but Thor has been the best title thus far.

I'm inclined to agree (obvious bias notwithstanding), but Hickman's Avengers and Waid's Indestructible Hulk are both looking pretty good so far as well.

Yeah, I want to give Hickman a little time on Avengers first. His first arc is only gonna be 3 issues so that helps. I still have hope for Uncanny Avengers despite Cassaday doing everything in his power to derail it's launch.

Corp, you may not give a crap but I'm really interested to see what goes down with Superior Spider-Man. It's certainly a contender for best NOW book just based on the build and hype.

If
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Miguel O'Hara
turns out to be the new Spider-Man, I'll probably read Superior. If not, I'll continue to stick to just the occasional Avenging issue, depending on the characters and creators.

Avenging Spider-Man is going to have Superior Spidey in it and the chances of it being the guy you want it to be is 0.00000000000002%.

Is this God-Butcher angle going to be the focus of this ongoing indefinitely? This sounds like it could be wrapped up in 6-8 issues.

I kinda consider it to be a way out there idea. Slott comes off as too much of a fanboy to want to get into creator comics the way a lot of Marvel creators are doing nowadays. I think the guy is genuinely happy doing Spider-Man and whatnot and probably never wants to leave.
