I imagine that once Virtual Console is up and running on eShop, Nintendo will implement a transfer function similar to the Mii transfer and allow us to run Virtual Console games through the Wii U instead.

I hope so. I have 2 codes for Super Smash Bros and Majora's Mask I've been holding on to so I can redeem them on the WiiU. Seems that isn't possible at the moment.
