However the geek in me says "BREAK THE BAT!"

Tom played really good in this movie.People should not compare Joker and Bane.They are both totally diffrent characters.But Bane's character is cooler and his plans are more intresting in my opinion.

Bartley Gorman, to be exact. I loved all of Bane's accents, he had either the British voice, the Vader/Robot voice, or the Latino accent.

I didnt notice any Latino accent . Im one , so maybe if he really tried it , it didn't sound that good

Actually upon looking at it i'm surprised someone would want to drop a 200lbs man in gear onto his own knee?

Tom Hardy's performance remains one of the best in the franchise history. His cold stare, posture, subtle movements, etc all radiated of pure intimidation. He reminded me of a Silverback ready to snap at any moment. Then there's the voice -- it was addicting to hear. I adored the execution (except the altered prologue), and mixed with the dialogue (which I believe was on par with The Joker's). Granted, Bane's exit and origin could have gone a more 'fan-pleasing' route but, overall, The Nolans did a spectacular job with Bane. They gave him the respect he deserved, and displayed his potential to various other writers out there who claimed they didn't know how to employ the character.

The general audience went into my showing disappointed that The Joker wasn't going to be the main antagonist again, but by the end of the night, Joker was no where to be mentioned. Only Catwoman and Bane were with the crowd.

Loved Bane. You guys have already nailed it, in regards to Hardy's brilliance within his transformation to become the character. I really hope that they eventually release that little origin scene with him in chains, training as Bruce did in BB. What an awesome parallel to Bruce that would have been.

And when it comes to the back breaking, I'm so glad they went with the iconic back breaking over the knee than the alternative breaking over the shoulders that they showed Buster and Struthers rehearsing in the special features. That wouldn't have been nearly as brutal.
