I assumed he tried to use the dust pellets as a distraction, but Bane wasn't falling for it.

Its spelled out right there why the dust pellets had no effect on Bane.

I don't see how the dust pellets would work on anybody except for a cat.

Yeah, I never got that either. What were they supposed to do, scare Bane? He was standing in a well lit area.

It was a sad attempt. What was he even hoping to accomplish? That Bane would turn around? And then what would he have done if he had? So many gadgets and weapons, and he uses the most useless one.

That too. I think Bruce was just trying to use anything on his belt to gain an advantage over Bane at the time. The dust pellets were probably used for darker places against more common street criminals anyways.

He should have used some of those tranquilizer darts that he used against Bane's men later in the film. A couple of those would have made Bane snooze like a baby.

How funny would it have been if he hit Bane with one of them half way through their fight and he dropped unconscious lol.

They could have made the fight a lot more interesting, by having Batman use the entire arsenal in his Belt. Instead we get puffs of smoke or mini-flashbangs and he turns off the lights once. Where were the Batarangs/Shurikens, Tranq-darts, explosives, grabbling hook, etc?

I actually think it would've been smarter for Batman to distract Bane by painting a gasoline bat symbol on the sewer walls in the middle of the fight, and then lit it.

Damn if he used his gadgets, that would've made it interesting. Throwing Batarangs left and right, Bane dodging them. Shooting the grapnel gun at him, only for Bane to grab it and pull Batman down.

I think I should direct a Batman film

It's not like the fight was bad anyway. It was great. Nolan was showing off a battle between two Titans.

Except Batman was a pretty ****** Titan and he got his ass kicked.

Nolan's Batman is my favourite on-screen Batman but I think we need a bit more of a detective and scientist Batman in the next film. Haven't really seen that on-screen (besides TAS) before.

Nope...the only reason I saw for that scene was to make Batman look pathetic. This was Bane's moment....he could no wrong and Batman could no right. It was written in to provoke a specific response, and it succeeded at that...it was not meant to be logical, or represenative of Batman's actions from the previous 2 movies.

Just re-watched some clips on youtube. Man, Batman should have died multiple times in this Movie. Like the part when he comes to Blakes rescue. He takes Bane's people down one at a time. Everyone is carrying guns. Instead off taking aim and shooting his damn ass, they wait till he is finished with one of their buddies, then run at him and try to shove their guns into his face. Makes me miss the shakey cam.
