Was The Avengers Iron Man's Best Enrance? Can IM3 Beat It?

So over Phase 1, Iron Man had plenty of memorable "entrances"...

Fireworks dodging Skydive...

Landing in Gulmira...

Shakespere in the Park...

But I think hands down, nothig beat the "Germany" sequnce:

*pipe AC/DC into Black Widow's earpiece*
*smugly ask "Did you miss me?"*
*hack SHIELD Jet to play AC/DC over the PA*

*Captain America is startled*

*fly into the Square and shoot Loki in the face with Repulsors*

*land in classic Iron Man style*

*arm all weapons, taunt Loki*

*completely showup Cap*

It was a fantastic entrance in my book.

But it leaves me wondering...can they top that entrance, in Iron Man 3? If so, then how?

That scene was one of my favorites in the film specially with the old man standing up to Loki..and Captain America and Ironman but I'm sure they will think of something cool..

I personally loved the landing sequence when he lands on Stark towers and his suit dismantles around him - i nearly had kittens over how well that was executed

Looking back on it, he had several, and all of the entrances in Avengers were great.

I loved the initial entrance that lead to Stark Tower, and the Germany scene was excellent.

Seems like IM3 is gonna see him on the run and against the ropes though, so if there are any, it may come only at the beginning ala IM2.

His IM2 entrance(loved the energy of the scene and when the firework hits him) and the Avengers Stark Tower de-armoring intro was fantastic.

yes the Stark Expo one was both cool with the fireworks and landing. Also it was funny because on the way down one of the fireworks actually hit Iron Man and he has to engage the thrusters to get down quicker and get out of the line of fire. But I love in Avengers how the walkway with the following robotic arms disassemble it off of Tony and he just strolls through the walkway.

If IM3 begins in media res with him falling from the sky, Icarus-style, as shown in the most recent epic movie poster, I'd say IM3 will definitely outdo all Tony's other entrances.

It will probably begin with news coverage after the New York battle and the aftermath.

Tony probably does an interview on a talk show trying to play it off

"Yeah, Captain America isn't as tall in person"

But Tony is actually shaken up from the attack.

Guess I'm in the severe minority here (...tends to happen a lot, guess I have bad taste) but his entrance in Germany during Avengers kind of irritates the **** out of me. "Ah, Shoot to Thrill... like in Iron Man 2... Yeah... we get it..."

It just seemed less like Tony making a badass entrance and more like Tony making a WWE entrance to me. Kinda cheesy. I much preferred his de-armoring at Stark Tower. However, Golmira takes the cake. As soon as he hits the ground and the soundtrack drops dead silent, you just know: Iron Man's about to kick some ass.

Same here. My top 3 are:
1) Gulmira from IM1
2) Landing on Stark Tower and disassembling in TA
3) Stark Expo landing in IM2

Does Stark getting chucked out of his own window by Loki count as an entrance? It was definitely my favorite "Suit up" scene anyway.

I don't think it counts as an entrance, but I definitely agree. It's my favorite suit up scene too.

To answer the question, yes, it is undoubtedly the best Iron Man entrance ever.

Obviously Iron Man 3 looks to be a little darker, but I hope there's room for an AC/DC scene.

My favorite entrance is still his "First day out" in Iron Man. The sound engineering is terrific. The terrorist don't know what hit them.

I am still not a fan of the use of AC/DC. His name is Iron Man. He wears a Black Sabbath shirt. They have plenty of music that would fit perfectly. War Pigs, Paranoid, NIB, etc. Come on.
