Well, like I said I think Loki's costume is going to be the best of all of them just by the sheer intricacy of what comic fans know is iconic concerning Loki's aesthetics. I think it's no secret why they have been keeping Loki's look under wraps and that is because it will be quite an eye popping design.

I don't think this fanart is 100% based upon Tom Hiddleston's Loki but I think it's pretty awesome looking nonetheless and decided to share it with you. I have it as my current wallpaper right now for both my computers.

I think that's the fangirl in you talking lol. you may be thinking a weeee bit too much. In terms of iconic and physical appearance, no disrespect to loki, but thor's appearance is more iconic, the red cape and winged helmet, probably one of the most visual iconically heroes, in my eyes atleast, and definitaly the most out the asgardians.

I think it is simply a matter of Loki has not been in any scenes that WE have seen being filmed.

As far thor posters and such, it is a thor movie, but the lack of loki is more than likely circumstantial and coincidental. I highly doubt they have been keeping this "special costume" under wraps for a reason...come on now lol

I don't think that either. LOL. It's coincidental that he hasn't been caught on film yet, I'm sure. It won't be that different from the last two movies in any case, probably less flashy and more rustic/worn. No reason for them to purposely keep his costume secret other than they are trying to keep everything secret (and not always succeeding!). Maybe if we're lucky we'll get another snappy Midgardian outfit too.

lol exactly. I mean, his and thor's costumes don't need a HUGE change anyway. especially loki's. but i love how thor's looks. even if loki's didn't change, itd be fine with it

Whatever outfit he starts out in is certainly not going to be anything flashy, if he starts out in prison (maybe we'll get shirtless prison Loki , Godzilla2000! )

and maybe we'll get some shape changing finally. Though I hate to not have Tom be Loki even for a minute, on the other hand it would be cool to see since it is supposed to be something he does (maybe he makes himself look like Sif for a bit, as a nod to Lady Loki)

Also think he'll get another "glow stick of destiny" or something like it? Or something else as a weapon?

I think the artist's intention was to depict a more Comic Book style looking Loki than a Tom Hiddleston Loki.

I think it's awful that such greedy people have to take advantage of such fan loving stars like Tom Hiddleston, who on many occasions has stopped to greet fans and given up a lot of his time to make them feel appreciated. It's people like these, the rude Autograph hounds who just want to make a quick buck off of generosity. And it always seems like these parasites are the loudest detractors when a celebrity snubs them. You know, I think this is why I'd rather be a low level celebrity like a comic book writer because autograph giving is a bit more organized.

It is really not necessary to post pictures looking up Tom's nose and inside his mouth. Yes, I know, his nostrils ARE perfectly symmetrical, and no, he DOESN'T appear to have any cavities... but... *sigh*... *shakes head*

Incidentally, Tom really has a baby face going on lately. I am thinking he's oddly enough going to look younger in Thor 2 than he did in Avengers. They certainly had him put on some weight and muscle for Avengers to help dial up the menace, and that probably made him look older. And he looked quite a bit older there than in Thor 1 (certainly more than 1 year older) - partially also I think due to lighting and makeup differences, as well as some weight gain. But now he's certainly leaner than he was in Avengers, and back to being younger looking. Not sure if or how they'd address that at all in the film, but just thought it was interesting. I always liked his Thor look overall better than Avengers anyway.

yes, that could simply be it. I only mention it as I think the added muscle and size was part of making Loki seem more powerful than he was in Thor 1, and so more acceptable that he'd be a serious challenge for all those heroes in Avengers, but if size = power and he's since lost that muscle mass, then it would seem he's less powerful then. No?

One thing to remember is that, as recently as August (I think) he was filming a vampire film. It's possible that film/character he was playing is the reason why he dropped in weight/mass and then just didn't have time to build it back up for Thor 2 due to how close the filming schedules were (and/or he might be hesitant to put it back on if he's still needed for pick up shots on Only Lovers Left Alive). As a result perhaps Taylor decided the leaner look would look fine for the purposes of the story. I don't know... it would be nice to see some set photos though of him to see if they are playing up his leaner look or if they'll mask it with the costuming.
