Your post matches a pattern we see in here from time to time. Someone from another section of the Hype chimes in to say how much they dislike the MCU formula of a connected universe (cameos, mentions, etc.) and the tired argument ensues.

Little more footage from the Malibu assault. I'm wondering why they don't show Maya Hansen in any of those Malibu shots yet --- we've seen from set pics that she's actually there with Pepper and Tony when the news choppers attack.

Absolutely love that trailer music --- hope it's part of the actual score.

Interesting trailer. I liked it overall, but the "nothing's been the same since New York" felt a bit odd to me, like it was snuck in hastily before the end.

Did it seem to anyone else that Tony blew up his own suits? At about the :38 mark there is a shot of Tony touching his wrist, then it cuts to the suits exploding in their cases. He could well have been using his bracelets to summon the suit, as in The Avengers, however. It's hard to tell what was happening, as is often the case with trailers.

I enjoyed all of the new shots, though. This movie looks better to me with every bit of information we get about it.

Yeah, I agree. I liked seeing the new footage and all, but the "nothing's been the same since New York" line felt out of place to me. I thought it worked much better where they had it placed in the original IM3 trailer. However, it's interesting to think that depending upon where that line fits into the movie it could potentially have different meanings.

Yeah, it's hard to determine in this video what he is doing exactly, but (whatever it is) he looks desperate to get it done ASAP.

I think it was more put there for the subtitle, the subtitle just says "everything has changed" nothing about new york, so i guess more for the japanese viewers.
also in the beginning of the trailer the voice over says one year after the Avengers events.
and the last frame says "Farewell, Ironman"

so excited!

The Japanese trailer definitely gave me the impression that he activated some sort of self- destruct on the armors.

That's what it looked like to me. Maybe it's misdirection through editing, but I have a hard time believing Mandarin's missiles would be that precise.

Like people have been saying, I also think Tony is blowing up his own suits. Maybe it has to do with the rumoured 'Armour Wars' elements or the theories about the bad guys getting some of his armours. Maybe that's his counter-measure and his plan for protecting those closest to him (by removing the perceived threat).
