I like it. I'm not sure how much I like the shininess of it, but I think the colors themselves are pretty sweet.

If anything I find it funny how some people around here claim it's fake as if that was a fact, just because they know basic photoshop 101.

It does look like the same head from the EW pic was used. His face looks different now. Fuller, if you will. So either this is a really old pic, taken around the same time as the EW photoshoot, or they manipped the head in

That smirk is not the same its just similar, as I've said you can pull the same face a 1000 times and it could look like you've taken the head off another pic quite easily.

It's because this picture doesn't look quite right,the handcuff poster didn't get this kind of discussion because although it had talking points,it didn't look 'wrong' like this one does,for so many people to have queries and theories,there must be something in it?,therefore,lots of chat will happen

The handcuff one didn't look like it was Henry's head stuck on from an earlier photo,and photoshopped or whatever,the quality of the image is not what I mean by wrong,the new pic quality is very good though.

This cover and teaser poster shows the black, but every picture of behind the scenes shooting and costume showed on conventions has it in yellow.

its yellow on all of them.

The real issue is that the yellow is so light, it pics up the other colors very well.

Doesn't the new Dcnu superman have a black S symbol on the back of his cape instead of a yellow one? If so, would anyone be interested in seeing it on film one day?

He does, but I've always been ambivalent to the cape symbol. I'm fairly open to costume changes.

If only more people were this open-minded. I do think most people have been won over by this new take on Supes costume, but there was an initial resistance. Glad that's over though. I love how alien the new suit looks. None of his other live action costumes showcased the alien element all that well. I think SR tried to do a bit of this, but eventually fell flat. It wasn't a horrible costume in my opinion, but the S on his chest was horrific. And it made Routh look skinny somehow.
I've seen movies and shows where Routh looked very fit, even kinda buff. But somehow the SR costume totally changed his physical appearance.

I'm surprised so many people are convinced it's a photoshop. There are tons of pictures where facial expressions look identical (see below!), and in Cavill's case (where he's an actor, used to posing for photos, and has a very square jawed and symmetrical face) it's not surprising at all that 2 photos could look near identical.

The gifs are ridiculous, but I posted them to illustrate how even in unstaged photos taken on nights out with different light conditions etc, the facial expression can often look identical from one picture to the next.

For a full on frontal face photograph, taken professionally in proper lighting, of a subject who is used to posing in a certain manner ............... I'm not surprised at all that his face looks identical in both shots. Especially when he's doing the typical Superman arms-folded pose in both.

I think those two covers look similar, but not enough to say its photoshopped imo. The hair color is extremely dark in the one pic though. That's the only thing that looks too heavily touched up

Thank you this was exactly the point I was making ad what bugged he most about the new Cavill pic was the smirk wasn't exactly the sane yet people claimed it was.
