Gingaman- had no second female and we got Maya

Gogov had one sister but we got kelsey

Gaoranger had one girl and we got Taylor


The only time saban stuck with the team layout was the alien rangers

I recently stumbled over Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger. Has anyone else been watching this? It's a series about 3 Otaku, who basically live in the real world, where Sentai is just a TV show for kids and they transform into heroes and fight monsters in their head. Their fantasies are powered by their delusions. It's a hilarious show that parodies the Sentai format and Otaku culture and makes fun of all the tropes. While the regular Sentai is more aimed at kids, the Akibaranger target teens and adults. As a result you have some more than usual naughty scenes and even drunk heroes at some point.

I was a bit hesitant to watch Akibaranger since it's very "fan" heavy. I didn't want to go that deep and become a full Otaku/nerd.

It may be Unofficial, but it's easily one of my favorite Sentais. I just love it, especially when it suddenly gets serious and then even more when it falls back into total slapstick. It's too bad it ended with Episode 12. But I read that a 2nd season is in the works. I really hope so.

I need more of this show.

I've been in my Power Rangers zone ever since I bought Volumes 1 and 2 of Season 1. It's bringing back my childhood...Fox Kids after school. Fox Kids on Saturdays. Talk about serious nostalgia!

I owned most of the episodes on VHS from Mighty Morphin' to Space, but they got destroyed back in 2004

Also why did they decide to use MORPHIN TIME in Go-buster?

Man, I haven't watched Go-Busters at all. Just started with the first Episode and does the bad English make me cringe. Let's Morphin? Let's Driving? It's let's Morph and let's Drive damn it!

Megaforce seems to be building up the Legend War/Gokaiger team at the start/hinting at the future

The teams sacrificed their powers and it became ranger keys.

The Gokaigers use the keys to become any and every team.

Wow, The chick in the pink shorts looks like a younger Maggie Q from Nakita.

The Super Samurai Power Rangers weren't all that bad they just didn't have that big of a budget to work with & it reflected poorly on the show.

The highlight of the series finale was a brief Bulk & Skull reunion at the end.

Are they using Angel Grove High School again?

I like that they are going back to a dinosaur theme.

For all the flaws of Samurai Rangers, the show did have some good sets and production values and overall it looked fantastic. They took advantage of widescreen, high-definiton very well. I think it was the first Ranger series to really do this.
