I knew Dexter was going to go into custody by the end of this season. Season Eight is going to be the trial of Dexter Morgan! I mean, seriously the only way this show ends is how it began. With Harry taking Dexter to the electric chair.

Couldn't really get into tonight's episode. But my favorite scene was the reveal of LaGuerta setting Dexter up. Even though I hate her with a passion, I was still like



And if that was the end of Quinn's story than man was that ever a huge waste of time.

All the 'evidence' is circumstantial isnt it? they dont have any definitive proof that Dexter is the BHB I thought...

Not to mention, I think 'Dexter Morgan, you are under arrest.' is one of Dexters day dreams... there is a ton of proof Doakes is the BHB but nothing they can really prove makes the BHB Dex. Thats why they threw in the 'Are you trying to frame my brother?' part of the preview...

never let Dexter previews fool you lol.

That being said, season 8 being a season about the trial would be really dumb. Dexter would certainly run away and has a plan for 'if' he gets caught... that was shown to us earlier in the premiere.

Don't believe the promo for a second. And yes if that really is how Quinn's storyline ends then it has been a waste of time.

First time in a long time LaGuerta did something smart that I can remember.

Deb poisoned herself. def makes sense... She just seemed guilty, while Hannah was looking legit... How would Hannah know the amount that would hurt Deb? Because she knows poison? meh... Deb would know more about her medication than Hannah.

-The guy who was part of the crew who murdered Dexter's mother gets paroled which makes Dexter happy because he gets to kill him. So when Dexter is about to do it he finds out LaGuerta pushed for him to be released to see what Dexter would do. However Dexter escapes along with the guy while LaGuerta finds the kill room.

-Deb gets into car accident and Dexter finds out her water was filled with drugs that caused her to blackout. Dexter thinking it was Hannah's doing gives Deb the pen laced with poison that killed writer so Deb finally has evidence to arrest Hannah. Many speculate Deb OD herself to get Dex to act on it.

-Most importantly of all Quinn's stripper girlfriend left him.

Yeah it all just feels so convenient, Deb knows how Hannah operates and we never saw the crash. Deb cares about Dex so in a way she's protecting him from Hannah but there's also the part where she loves him more as a brother so there's jealousy in play, but we'll see if it ends up that way, it certainly would fit considering there was also the Estrada set-up by LaGuerta.

I want what we saw at the start of the episode for Dexter when the show ends, nothing else!

The ending was so sad, however the promo for next weeks looks like things are going to flip even more.

that is the thing, it's not about being gulliable, its about the things in the promo that is shown that was plausible is not implausible.

For example, read below, possible spoilers



Promo scene : Doakes showing up
Reality : Because the promo showed Doakes, we knows it's a hallucination or maybe a memory.

Promo scene : Dexter in handcuffs
Reality : Because the promo show him in handcuffs, we know for sure that he won't be in handcuffs at the end of the episode, something has to happen where he is freed. Or it could be another hallucination.

Promo scene : Hanna on Dexter's table
Reality : Because we see that scene, we know Dexter will not kill Hanna. This is where Deb phones Dexter telling him that it was Deb that overdosed herself to frame Hanna

Promo scene : Possible Dexter capturing Laguerta
Reality : Probably not going to happen since they showed it. So, either it's not Laguerta or somebody else.

The problem with that promo is that because it showed so many sequences that I thought would happen will not happen now since they show it in the promo. It's always the case with Dexter promos, they show scenes, which aren't spoilers, but diversions.

I see that more than anything. Deb is jealous, typical girl when a hotter one is around.

I agree with all of the Deb did it herself theories. In that scenario Hannah had nothing to gain, like she said all that would result is pissing off her serial killer boyfriend and alerting the police department to her activities. Furthermore, Hannah's friend like she suggested wouldn't prove a reliable eye witness - especially after it came out that Deb showed up and threatened her with taking her kids away if she didn't cooperate.

Yea. I watched the episode again and if it ends up that Deb didn't do it herself I'll be massively surprised. Hannah would have given her aconite anyways not a **** load of Xanax like that. She said it herself she would have killed her not just sedated her like some amateur

It has to be. If she is willing to plant evidence against Doakes to free Dex from suspicion, then it would be nothing to frame Hannah.
