I think Fox and Trank will aim for a younger actress (probably around Alba's current age or younger). I think both Reed and Sue will be in their late 20s-early 30s, unlike the significant age gap between Alba and Gruffudd. If that's the case, Alice Eve would be spot-on as Sue. She's gorgeous and talented. Pair her up with a good actor as Reed, and boom... reboot's already better than the original. |

Pine was my choice about a year ago. Nobody else has really caught my eye to play the part.

She doesn't come off as kind of bland to you? I honestly get her confused with all the other blonde 20 something actresses out there. She doesn't stand out to me.

If they went with an older Reed, I could see Hugh Laurie (House) pulling that off.

I believe that when the comics started...Reed was like late 30's to mid 40's, Ben a few years younger, Sue mid to late 20's and Johnny was a teenager.

I never realized how much younger Sue was to Reed and that Johnny was a teenager.

She is just... radiant. Not just beautiful, but radiant. You need someone like that as Sue, not what Jessica Alba brought to the table. |

I'm no Alice Eve fan at all but her acting doesn't look bad in that half a second.
Why do people on the interwebs think that having facial expressions and being animated means that an actor is bad or overacting? I've seen those comments over and over again when an actor actually has facial expressions. That being said Eve is just an okay actress whom I believe Abrams will force a decent performance out of. |

She's a perfectly capable actress. Still a shame she dropped out of First Class.
Though if there is any Marvel character for her to play, it's the Enchantress.

I agree. Alice Eve's acting performance in that 2 second clip is not that convincing but we haven't seen the movie yet.

I hope the actress who plays Susan is more than just pretty though. She should be for women what Batman is to men. Strong, cool, powerful, iconic...

Jessica Chastain would be a good choice, but she looks a little old for Sue Storm.

There wouldn't be much of a contrast between Doom, who is this "foreign autocrat" type guy and Reed who was supposed to be this all-American guy who just happens to be insanely intelligent and way too driven. Basically he wouldn't come off as a commoner in the eyes of Doom.
