I hear they're claiming he's still 'Radioactive man' despite the name change. That and he's supposed to be another minor villain. I'm not so sure, but then again, they may be setting up for Masters of Evil. Who knows.

No, there's no longer any "official" mention of Chen Lu or his alias Radioactive Man.

I'm not saying there is any official mention of it. I meant that people are still spreading the rumour despite the character having a different name. Whether it's true or not, I don't know.

Maybe they don't want to use Chen Lu because a) he's a villain again, and if they had a problem with Mandarin as a Chinese villain, then how are they going to suddenly accept Radioactive Man as a Chinese villain; and b) Edgar Wright is still probably not ready with Ant-Man for them to film any post credit scene with an Ant-Man actor confronting Chen Lu. Thinking Wright might be even remotely ready is wishful thinking.

"Dr. Wu" is not a villain at all. RorMachine over at That Other Website is getting confused and spreading mass disinfo about that; the actual Deadline article by Nikki (linked earlier) doesn't say anything at all about "Dr. Wu" being a villain; only that Wang Xuequi's role is not a huge part.

By all appearances in the photos, his role in the movie is just to perform some kind of surgery on Tony; and it's a safe bet that it's the surgery to implant Extremis in Stark.

By the way --- time to start debunking some of would-be oracle Roger Wardell's "insider" info on Marvel movies from his Twitter account:

Inside News: Chen Lu will not be referred to as Radioactive Man in Iron Man 3.

....that's because Chen Lu/Radioactive Man has now officially been debunked in IM3. Next.

Inside News: Aldrich Killian will be basically be an unwilling pawn of The Mandarin's.

Inside News: Mandarin will be the main antagonist in Iron Man 3, not the behind the scenes villain we've previously been thought to believe.

Depends on what JBD meant by Mandarin being the "mouthpiece," with Killian as the "brains." Generally speaking, a "mouthpiece" is the guy who *looks* like your adversary, when it's actually the "brains" behind the outfit who's pulling the strings.

In other words, from Dale's comment, it sounds like Killian is pulling the strings on Mandarin, not vice versa.

Thanks! interesting. Quite a different concept for Killian (as well as Mandarin). I'm not worried. MCU has my complete trust.

I think by "mouthpiece" it's clear that he's the leader that doesn't get his hands dirty. He's definitely the lead villain, though.

Other than that, Roger is full of shapoopies.

Pearce already said his role is very small, "cameo stuff". Even without that I wouldn't read too much into an off-the-cuff comment from Dale.
