Galactus.
Parallax at least looked the part. Kinda sorta imagery from the comics. Galactus the cloud. Meh. At least with the Giant white guy with antlers approach it was slightly believable it could devour planets and make heralds. The giant cloud not so much.

parallax for me.
galactus is tricky. i understand why the studio didn't want a giant planet sized humanoid in a purple and pink outfit with a tuning fork hat running around. but with parallax? what a waste. why change this lovecraftian abomination into a brown cloud of feces? and it didn't even pose a threat. it just floated around doing nothing. |

They both look the same to me.
 But the Silver Surfer looked awesome when he defeated Galactus. Great shot there.

Galactus.
Parallax kept at least a few elements, and could be brought back, and done more properly without having the do any major rewrite to what's been established. Galactus: They took perhaps one of the most complex, deep and enigmatic villains ever and made him a cloud. F*** those guys. |

Parallax's stupid origin was the worst part of the GL movie. At least FF2 didn't feature Galactacloud throughout the movie.

Galactus can work in a NUMBER of ways.
One of them being remove the "flesh" parts, but keep him in humanoid form. he doesn't wear PINK, as people keep exclaiming, and the only read he did in the past was because of the lack of various colors in comic printing back then. the LAME excuse is dead. you can make ANYTHING work on film. How much of it is modified (not removed) is subjective.
