That's was the focus of the Bleeding Cool article as well. Marvel for some stupid reason allowed a Superior Spider-Man preview put in the back of Avengers Arena #1 before ASM 700 comes out at the end of the month.

We're talking about it in the Superior thread in the SM forum now.

Not for nothing, if I'm Christos Gage right now, how could I not be incensed by this?

You spend 3 freaking years trying to put out a successful book with all new characters and this is what Marvel does with that accomplishment??? It's the biggest dumbass move by them.

I'm real disappointed by this and I've been pretty much happy as a clam with what NOW has given me despite my initial reservations with the relaunch.

Damn, are we to the point that a book lasting for 18 issues is considered "doing very well"?

(I'm not talking about the quality of the book, btw. It could be a great read.)

After Christos Gage wrote X-Men Legacy and thought what he wrote was good, and continuing in Mike Carey's footsteps, homaging him, and creating a natural narrative ending to what Carey was doing, I don't really give a **** what he thinks or how he might feel.

I think most of my thoughts have been touched on already.

A book based on a ripped off concept, a book based on killing characters as a plot device..F that.

Darkhawk surely doomed after all that work (with a utterly stupid new look), stupid new Braddock Characters (I thought we were supposed to be trimming young heroes?)

Cammi? I mean I hate that character and even I still think she's better than this.

2. Cap, Hulk, and Journey Into Mystery for $3.99 (missed out on this one because I didn't make it to the store before I left town for Thanksgiving)
3. Avengers and Thunderbolts for $3.99

So I'm not the only one feeling pretty lackluster towards Marvel NOW as a whole?

My titles, since I was 10 years old (I'm 32 in January) have been:
Amazing Spider-Man
X-Men
Uncanny X-Men
Wolverine

I'd pick up Spectacular Spider-Man or Spider-Man regularly. I got New Avengers when it ran and Wolverine & the X-Men now. But...it just isn't grabbing me with the new ones.

Superior Spider-Man. I know Pete will be back within 2 years top. Maybe sooner. The last time they replaced Peter with Ben Reilly was the only time ASM fell from the top 10 chart. I just don't know I want to follow the book.

X-Men, now X-Men Legacy. Not really on board with "ends justify the means" villain-esque Cyclops anymore. Kind of gotten old.

All New X-Men, I don't see the appeal lasting for an ongoing series. 2 Cyclops, 2 Icemen, 2 (3?) Beasts in the same time setting. Ehhh, dunno.

Wolverine & the X-Men (Does anyone know if this one is already rebooting with Marvel NOW or not?) It hasn't grabbed me either. The Wolverine/Cyclops role reversal is a little bleh for me.

Uncanny Avengers. Desecrating Xavier, digging up his corpse, and cutting out his brain for psychic Red Skull?

Wolverine is wrapping up. I'm assuming Wolverine MAX is the ongoing Marvel NOW replacement?
