If you want to see James playing Macbeth, but in a different version from the classic play, watch "Shakespeare Retold - Macbeth", a BBC - TV production. It's amazing. He plays a chef, Joe Macbeth, and the whole story happens inside a restaurant. It was only the second time I saw James acting, and I was really impressed with him.

Five movies James has filmed in 2012 and none have been distributed yet. It's so frustrating. The one I'm looking forward to the most is Filth, because it looks so wonderfully filthy.

And now he's doing a play??? I'm going to totally miss that! I guess I'll just have to win the lottery so I can buy a plane ticket to London.

Yes, the trailer looks great, doesn't it? I agree it's frustrating about the distribution, though. But hopefully WttP will be released in the US - there's a March 15th date set. Filth is a bit more complicated, because it's an art house type of film, so it depends on how it'll do in film festivals. Fingers crossed!

As for the play, well, I bought a ticket but I have no idea if I'll ever be able to get to London, lol...

We live quite near London if you find the right station, it only costs us £3.20 a ticket . The tickets however...well we might need to cut back on everything else to afford it...

I have the feeling this movie could give him some awards recognition next year.

I'm not familiar with James' work (only seen him in FC and Wanted) and I've never found him attractive. Imagine my surprise when I saw some pics of him with shorter hair, I definitely took notice then. So for me James with shorter hair = hot. But I know I'm in the minority.

I know I'm biased but I think James has splendid hair. Although I have to agree that his hair didn't work in some FC scenes. But it was okay in general. Better than bald, haha.

Best hair (and best look so far) is Atonement for me. But who I'm fooling, I would take him with any look, thank you very much!

But I think I must be the only one completely put off by the Welcome to the Punch trailer. It looks so cheap; that whole "edgy blue tint!" went out of style almost a decade ago. I'm excited for the rest of the projects JM is working on but I'm definitely skipping Welcome to the Punch.

Might see the play though One of my best friends lives a couple hours outside of London and is looking into getting us tickets for when I visit her. There's so much of the UK I want to see though, I'm not sure I'll have enough time!

That's a good point--I do get sick of the blue tint as well, but if it's done right and the movie's story/dialogue is good, I can go with the flow. I'm not as interested in seeing it as Filth, but since there has been no McAvoy movie in 2012, I'll definitely catch WttP when it arrives in the US...which might not be for months after its first release date!

Hopefully! I bought a ticket for the play, but that was easy...the difficult part is, well, the whole rest.

I'm excited for WttP. The script was chosen as on of the best unfilmed British scripts in 2011, and critics praised a lot Eran's last film, the really low-budget "Shifty". Knowing James, I know how he chooses his scripts carefully, so I expect characterization and an interesting story, not only bullets flying around.

Hmmm...maybe, but I think that the blue tint is an interesting stylistic choice - "Neon noir", as Eran calls it. I bet it'll look beautiful on the big screen. I'm really curious to see how it'll work.

And, yeah, it's been toooooooo long since James' last film!
