I like a lot of those actors listed, but I don't think they're doing a reboot. Unlike Star Trek, which has hundreds of episodes to back up the franchise gearing up to the 2009 movie, Star Wars really is central to the original trilogy.

Unless Disney has gone insane, they'll do a sequel. So no Tarkin, Vader, or Palpatine. I could be wrong, but why re-do the one thing SW has going for it?--the original trilogy. I know I'd be disappointed if these aren't set after ROTJ.

Let me explain something in proper english and I was once one that thought as you do. You don't know the power of Classic Characters played by Harrison Ford. Recasting sure sound possible and sure could happen but Recasting Han, Leia and Luke would be like recasting Swartzenegger as T-800 or recasting The Godfather. Some things need respected and not put in remake mode.
Sure I can come up with a very good list of recasting possibilities but I say lets focus on the new trilogy. Now they can recast older actors for Mark Carrie and Harrison simply because I think they are too old to play 40 something.

Unless they set the next film a minimum of 30 years after the last one. If they do, and Carrie and Mark are willing to get back into shape, they can keep the roles. If, however, they want to pick up right after the end of Return of the Jedi, they have no choice but to recast the actors.

In my opinion Dane DeHaan is the obvious choice for Luke Skywalker, heck he was already using the force in the movie "Chronicle"

I think they can recast older actors but also think Carrie Mark and Harrison should get a Cameo. With Hamill voice talents he could easily play a villain role. Harrison could play Hans father Frank or something.

No need to re cast. Especially with the original actors willing to return. Would rather see new stuff with new characters. Star Wars is something that does not need recasting
