What the hell would she need to talk to animals for anyway?

How tall is Jessica Brown Findlay? I can see her in the role.

Also I do believe giving her abilities more latitude away from Supes will help her from being another cliched female offshoot to a male counterpart.
It's a current ability that's worked in the cartoons already. How and when she flies would make her different from Superman, just as Peter Pan is different from him.

Because they occupy the planet too.

If you're going to make a character like Wonder Woman fly, you should either go big or go home. She shoulder either be able to fly like Superman and Green Lantern and Captain Marvel or not at all.

More of his abilities? The only things they share in common are flight and streangth. The first which neither originated with in the first place.

Her costar, Michelle Dockery, also has a WW look to her. She's taller, too.

For the billionth time, the WW "look" shouldnt be a deciding factor. You need a great (not good) actress with screen presence who's attractive and fit. This parade of young hotties misses the point entirely.

If this were a Marvel production i woudnt even be worried about it. But WB is more than capable of screwing this up with a bland, inexpensive hottie of the month with the requisite big eyes and big boobs.

Now if we're talking about a tv show, never mind. The above approach is pretty much a given.

As far as a movie, look to Azzarello's version for inspiration, fill in the blanks with a unique vision, and ignore everything else. And of course the costume will have to be reimagined. Remember: its called an ADAPTATION.

Super breath (gone now), super speed, super vision... Imagine if Martian Manhunter had gotten his current powerset in the eighties, and also still forgotten about his other non-Superman powers. There's a big difference between adding in Flight four years later and adding in Flight forty four years later.

Does it matter?

Though honestly I wouldn't mind Heard as Wonder Woman.

LOL

Also, Rachel Nichols?

Does fit the up and coming actress criteria...
And she certainly has the height and reasonably good acting skills.

Only thing is she looks better as a blonde or redhead.

You're right man. I confess I wasnt much of a WW fan before Azzarello's run. That part is totally debatable.

Most people weren't, and there's a lot of dense hodgepodge to deal with, I think, but there's some gems in there, I think, if you can extricate them from the relatively random characterizations and status quos she's had. Me personally, I would take the fun side of her personality from the Golden age and the later parts of Simone's run more than anything.

I thought about Nichols, then I thought about how much I didn't much like her on Continuum.

I thought she wasn't bad on Continuum. The overall screenplay itself is a bit weak, but Nichols was very decent.

Ironically, if Atwell gets the role, you can bank on a radical costume redesign. Cleavage aint happening. Still interested?

I like Heard though. Maybe not as WW, but theres definitely a superhero role out there for her. The MCU offers several opportunities.

That would work, but thats not happening any time soon. Shes not my first choice for Ms. Marvel, but I think she could pull it off.
