If you mean the re-design ones by Hajime Katori then yeah. The TV series ones suck

They just seem bulky. I can understand Heavyarms having to be bulky but not Deathscythe.

Resurrecting this thread for some Gundam advice if there's anyone who can help.

I really want to try the original MS Gundam after reading so many great things about it. The old animation really doesn't bother me, I still enjoy G1 Transformers which is pretty much on par for quality. My main draw back is time constraints and being able to watch 40+ episode series, it'd probably take me a long time to get through, and I have a ton of other anime to watch already. I've seen the movie trilogy available that condenses it, how good a replacement would that be? Would I appreciate the series just the same from watching that or would I have to watch the whole thing?

This is a hard one. I actually am not picky when it comes to Gundam. I loved Gundam 00 and Gundam Wing was awesome. But I would have to say Endless Waltz is my favorite because it was like Gundam Wing x10.

Big fan of the gundam seed ce era. but gsd really had a lot of storyline problems, nonetheless i love the characters. i wish they would do a follow up movie.

I prefer 0079 followed by Wing.

Though I've seen a lot of Gundam, I am a huge Gundam Wing fan. There was nothing better than coming home after school (high school) and watching this show on Toonami. I've never seen someone blow themselves up with a giant robot. LOL it was mind-boggling at the time.

*runs in* Gundam Wing is definitely my favorite! I'm biased because I watched it on Toonami in my childhood, DBZ never excited me like Gundam Wing did! *runs away*

Previous attempts to bring Japanese anime and manga to American screens have either been developed and never happened, such as WB's AKIRA, a live-action VOLTRON, and WETA's work on Neon Genesis Evangelion; are currently in some sort of planning such as Leo DiCaprio's rumored involvement with ROBOTECH, Guillermo Del Toro's adaption of MONSTER for HBO, and Shane Black's adaption of Death Note; or have been actually made and poorly received such as DragonBall: EVOLUTION, Fist of the North Star, OLDBOY and SPEED RACER (which was actually good).
