2. "It's nowhere near as good as the Knaufs' run." That's my point exactly.

I need to get my army of Tumblr friends. Also, everyone on Twitter is raving about it.

I haven't read any of Fraction's other work, though I do hear a lot of complaints about it and him in general. That said, I love the Hawkeye series. I like the quiet, independent feel, the "what a superhero does when he's not being a superhero" plot, the narration, the wit, and the art is just absolutely fantastic. I know it's not for everyone, but isn't that the same about everything? People like different things, that's just how life is.

I've loved his work on X-Men, Iron Man and Thor. I'm a big Fraction fan.

Fraction's Iron Man run was ... decent, IMO. He had some absolutely amazing ideas but the execution was poor. The book had severe pacing issues (i.e. 9 issue storylines that could have been told in 4 issues, secondary plots that carried on for years, etc.) and was extremely anti-climatic in many arcs. However, the art was fantastic for the title and continuity wasn't too butchered. In all, I'd give it a solid 3/5.
The Knauf's run on the character, the Mandarin story in particular, was absolutely fantastic. That should get a solid 5/5, even with all the Director of Shield stuff that ended the series on a weaker note. This relaunch is just not doing it for me though. Never thought I'd miss Fraction, especially after the Fear Itself debacle, but these issues seem to be going nowhere fast. This may be the first time in 8 years that I won't be reading Iron Man. Also, on an unrelated note: screw the Iron Patriot. Bring back War Machine!

Every issue of Hawkeye that I skim I think, "Huh, that looks good" and then put it back. One of these days I might just start buying the thing.

I had some issues with Fraction's run on X-Men but overall I enjoyed it. Utopia and Second Coming were definite highlights. I also read the first Casanova trade and liked the style, it was just too trippy for me (I hate time travel). I'm really considering adding Hawkeye to my pull list and I hardly like the character.

It's not time travel, it's alternate universe travel. Big difference.

To be fair, it's kinda hard to top the Knaufs. They were probably the only writers who were capable of writing Iron Man as a good person during the low point of his character thanks to Civil War.

Civil War was both very, very good, and very, very bad.
On another note, anybody else getting the feeling the writers are giving into the whole "Stony" thing?

I am mostly used to that sort of thing with actual couples. Unless those guys have something they want to confess...?

A popular head canon amongst movie fans is that Steve and Tony are gay together, and have adopted Spiderman. I hate this. Nothing against homosexuality of course, I just hate fans who pair up characters randomly! ie-Wolverine and Emma, Widow and Clint (yes I know they have history, but that's been and gone
)

I just can't picture Cap that way. Tony maybe on account of his flirtatious manner, but not Cap.

I don't like the Pepper x Tony and Cap x Wasp ship. I don't know how I feel about the Carol x Peter ship. It's implied in the comics...
