I'm just about in the middle of the second compendium that I got for Christmas. Is anyone else kind of disappointed at what they've done to Donna, Allen and the twins in the series? Namely that there's only one of the twins and he's a ****ing teenager?

Did they rename them? I don't remember them being in the show anywhere.

I've noticed that some of the show characters are amalgamations of book characters. Not really a problem for me since, the show's cast, realistically, can only be so big.

I'm anxious to see how they handle some to the bigger "HOLY S***!!!" moments from the series. One of which you're sneaking up on.

They were the other people with Tyreese.

I don't see how making the remaining twin a teenager is a bad or good thing. Just a thing.

I think Ben is gonna kill Beth though.

Well i myself just finished Season 2 up about a day or 2 ago.Very interesting, and that one barn moment really was a shocker to me.It made me feel for the characters bc of what happened and the build up to it.I really felt sorry for poor Dale.Maybe its just me but i kinda felt like Rick and Shane were almost like a Jedi and Sith from Star Wars. You have one trying to do what is right and the other trying to hide the "dark side" at first but just seems to let loose more and more as time goes on.
Of course as alot of you know it culminates in what would eventually have to happen. There were alot of good moments in season 2.

I wonder if TWD loses half their audience if AMC will reconsider this 3 month break nonsense.

Seeing as the ratings have gone up after every break... I see absolutely no reason why that would happen.

Yes, but ratings have never been this high before. TWD is getting monday night football numbers. It is highly unlikely for the ratings to go any higher.

I wasn't saying that they would or could go higher. I'm pointing out that gaps between episodes have never hurt the show, much less cause them to lose half their audience.

Anyone watching the season 3 marathon airing tonight? They've been airing the usual viewer discretion warnings about the violence, but they are also showing a video before each episode with Norman Reedus sending condolences on behalf of the show and AMC to the victims of the Newtown shootings, with just aanother reminder about the violence on the show.

The graphic they usually show during the commercial breaks also added "particularly in light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut".

Surprised to see it, although it makes sense to keep their bases covered with the warnings, since this is the first time the show has aired since that whole thing happened.

Even more surprising was seeing Daryl wearing a tie.

Yeah, I noticed that. The Parents Television Council was *****ing at them to do it for a little while before what happened in Connecticut. I'm honestly surprised they haven't tried to use TWD as a scapegoat already. "Oh, if you had only listened to us... blah blah blah."

She was so sassy... its enough to make me overlook that she was referring to Theodore Douglas.

Im interested in seeing what happened to the father and son Morgan and Duane from the first episode. From what i understand Morgan is supposed to return the 2nd half of this season. Does anybody else think that he finally let go and took down his wife? Or if his son suffered the same fate as S? I wasnt even into this show but after watching now its like it keeps you wanting to know what happens to whoever.

The break is hard on all of us, but it's actually quite helpful for the show's ratings. Fans will be primed and ready for the show's return instead of important episodes getting lost amid the glut of holiday specials, bowl games, and the NFL playoffs.

Seriously, they couldn't have just used an image of Morrisey actually wearing the eyepatch/bandages?

Considering he just lost his eye, he wouldn't need an eye patch yet.

I was wondering about them myself. Where did you hear about them showing up the second half of this season?

One of the articles confirming Tyreese mentioned it. I'm not sure which one.

Awesome! I can't wait for the season to continue. I'm totally addicted to the show. Probably one of the best on TV right now.
