I never read the Eisner stuff, but Darwyn Cooke's DC stuff was pretty fun.
And, yeah, the Miller movie is the worst comic book film ever made. |

The Spirit's awesome.
Cooke's run with DC was just the s**t.

Dan is the central character of The Dandy, a popular UK childrens comic. It's basically the sister-title to The Beano (which Dennis The Menace is the central character of)
And,yeah, I think I'll alway have a bit of a soft spot for him. I read his stories when I was tiny and, for all I know, they got me into comics. Here's todays: ![]() Fat Albert |

Liked Fat Albert growing up. The Poster child for juvenile diabetes. Hated that god-awful movie though.

Dude! Fat Albert is the just the everloving %^&! Love it! Totally un polictically correct! (Haha their clubhouse was in a junkyard and the town's wino gave out advice!)But what they lack in PC they made up with morality lessons! " and if you aren't careful you might learn something before they are done!"I really learned stuff from that show, not like the crappy ass cartoons now! and I refuse to ever seee that movie!

I really liked it when Fat Albert gave the advice to put your stepfather in a bear trap if he was becoming too much of a bother.

Albert's the kind of character they don't really make anymore. If they came up with him these days, he'd be a "look what happens when you have too many sweets, kids" cautionary tale or something...

She's cool
I think you should use smaller images, scrolling to the side is used a lot lately

Which are the Moomins? The ugly people who look like a 3 year old drew them or the weird, hippo looking things?

They were in one of my childhood most anticipated cartoons, followed their stories with lots of passion
Growing up, they were ignored and almost erased from memory, all I remember are a few looks

I remember nothing of the events beyond one of the white hippos getting goose bumps when he's with that girl with hair going up like that facing (big distance between the maybe monster and those, nobody moved for a couple of minutes) what looks like a monster in snow

I only really know them to look at so I had to wiki them:
"The Moomin stories concern several eccentric and oddly-shaped characters, some of whom are related to each other. The central family consists of Moominpappa, Moominmamma and Moomintroll.[3] Other characters, such as Hemulen, Sniff, The Snork maiden, Snufkin and Little My are accepted into or attach themselves to the family group from time to time, generally living separate lives in the surrounding Moominvalley, where the series is set. It is in this fictional valley, that the Moomin family decides to live at the end of The Moomins and the Great Flood." I think they're pretty big in their native sweden. |
