So the Sundance premiere for Woodley's new film The Spectacular Now just finished & Woodley and the film in general got lots of positive reviews (or reactions) from people who just saw it.

So both the new major castings Woodley and Foxx had success in their last movies
Thats great casting and shows that Sony did put a lot of mind into it |

if spidey needs to swing inside a building they'll probably use practical effects.

CBMs I enjoy the most at this moment: 1) The Avengers, 2) The Dark Knight, 3) Iron Man 3, 4) Iron Man, 5) The Amazing Spider-Man. CBMs in the near future I'm most looking forward to at this moment: 2) Thor 2, 3) Man of Steel, 4) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 5) Guardians of the Galaxy (would be higher in the list if it wasn't for how much I hate the film Super from the same director). |

why do so many think mary jane is going to be peters love interest at some point in the trilogy? webb and co may want to keep gwen the love interest for the 3 films and keep mary jane as a friend as she was the love interest of the last trilogy
maybe if we get a 4th things will change in that area

I wouldn't mind if Petey and Gwen were together throughout the duration of the trilogy. I'm still not sure I want to see Gwen die in the new Webb movies. It is arguably a very important event and essential to Spideys development, but it would be absolutely gut-wrenching to see onscreen.
I am a huge fan of Nolans Batman movies, but when Bats main love interest Rachel Dawes was killed in TDK it didn't have the emotional impact I thought it would. I'm ashamed to say I barely even cared. This would never happen in the case of Gwen. If she does die onscreen, it might end up being the first time I've cried during a movie since I was a young child. |

Well of course. That's because the filmmakers have done their job well. You care about Gwen's character and I'm sure she resonates with you on a deep, emotional level like she does with me. Her death will not be easy to bear but it also wasn't something that was easy when she died in the comics. If the death of Gwen Stacy is approached in a proper manner...it may very well be one of the best worst moments in CBM history.

Rachael Dawes' death would have had more impact if it was the original actress from Batman Begins. The new actress was blah and where lots of people were saying she was better than the original actress I don't think she was, she had zero chemistry with Bruce and when she died I couldn't care less where as I think I would have cared if it were the BB actress because as bad as she was (and I don't think she was bad) I at least thought she and Bruce had chemistry.
Now Stone and Garfield have chemistry, I think that much is obvious. She is also likeable, proactive and an asset. I think her eventual death with hit hard. |

I didnt care for either actress who played her. Neither was convincing as a lawyer or someone who truly loved Bruce. Who knows. Maybe if they kept Katie Holmes on for both movies it would have helped, but i doubt it.
I kind of have a feeling Gwen might bite the dust in the third installment. And im going to be an emotional wreck if and when she does. I just hope they make MJ a compelling character who isnt completely helpless and has some personality, which is the opposite of how Dunsts MJ was written. She never seemed like the tough hold your own type she is in comics. I have faith they will improve on MJ from previous films, i mean lets not forget how awfully Gwen was written in S-M3. And they totally did a great job making her more faithful to the comics this time. I will keep the faith. |

I think, had Maggie been in Batman Begins, or Katie in TDK, then it would've had more of an emotional impact. Although they were meant to be the same character, being played by two different actresses and seeming somewhat different each time meant that the Rachel who died in TDK seemed too new a character and with no time for the audience to feel emotionally invested in her. Even if Katie was unbelievable as a lawyer, simply having her back as a familiar face would now make a difference when she died.
Maggie dying was too much like one of these sacrificial lamb Bond girls in a Bond movie where they haven't done very much yet up until that point when they die relatively early on. You don't really care too much and kind of expect it anyway.
