I know this has nothing to do with Man of Steel but I really didn't care for how they drew Superman in All-Star Superman and Superman vs. The Elite....he just didn't look good at all. He looked ridiculous

I really didn't mind him in All Star Superman, but in S vs The Elite I thought he looked awful.

I'll agree on Elite (but it is in one hell of a film) but not All Star he looked fantastic in it. Its very close to the comic book. The artwork in the All Star animation is beautiful.

Good thing the story in The Elite was fantastic. Despite the art, I'm happy to own the blu-ray.

Yes I agree, probably the best Superman animation ever for story, etc. Its actually a very good story for Superman naysayers to watch and the ending is epic.

hmmm... still leaning towards a dark color palette... i thought we were done with the whole dark, gritty, depressing look for Superman...

Yeah. At this point, I don't know why they're so against a full-on body shot of Superman. It's not as if his suit is going to surprise anyone with drastic changes. We just want to bask in its badassness.

His shoulders look broad and his neck seems thick enough to give him a strong physical look. Face looks good. But the hairstyle they're using for him as Superman isn't the best for his hairline. The hairstyle they're using for Clark Kent may fit his hairline better.
The pale coloring doesn't let the suit pop even in the sunlight. Despite this, I like the picture. Notice how every picture they're releasing is serious in tone. No smiling. No Superman grin. |

Not really seeing "Superman" in this particular photo. Hopefully we get another preview with a little more footage of Superman onscreen.

lol I'm sorry. I get it tho, not everyone is going to see it just because I do so easily. But may I ask if not this then what? Is it because he's not in action? Or do you have something else you are waiting to see? Do you have a ideal? I ask bc there are others out there who haven't "seen it" yet and I just want to get an idea. I mean for me if I pick up a Superman comic from the past 3 decades, Cavill looks like he could have posed for the artist as a reference.

Often times he does have a very detached and cold look in his face. If something of great/dire importance is taking place then he usually has that face.
