I have to say, in the trailers and what we've seen, I'm happy with the costume as is. I think the darkness/lightness of the colours will have absolutely no impact on the film being good or bad.

I'd say it's watchable save for the Richard Pryor stuff. The Super-feats are entertaining, as is the fight between Clark/Evil Superman.

The fight between Clark and evil Supes is probably my favourite part from any Superman movie.

Come to think of it, there hasn't really been any Superman film that's been free of campy stuff; S:TM had Lex Luther's characterization, the sequel and the third one had Lester's campy approach, and the fourth one still had campy stuff in both Lex and his nephew; if you had included the deleted fight scene between the first nuclear man and superman, then that would have only heightened it, and of course SR had campy stuff from their version of Lex as well.

At least Superman IV had an objective and a sincerity... as naive and misguided as it was. Both terrible movies, of course.
I still have III and IV on VHS taken from TV broadcasts.

III and IV were awful. But Returns was boring.
Sometimes I think I'd rather have awful than boring...

I really don't get the complaining about the colors.
My thoughts exactly.

I too think that Superman III has quite some watchability. It's not often that good, but even when bad, it's at least entertaining. And some parts are actually good for real, like all the super-feats, all the evil supes scenes and all the Clark and Lana stuff.

What a fantastic pic. I really can't look at any other Superman now and not think he looks inferior or somehow off as compared to Cavill.

Using the Superman-Joker pic posted, I made this. Very quickly made. I just wanted to see how it would look.

Ha, that made me want to see Cavill as Bizarro to his Superman in the future!

Well...Like I said, I used the manip of Superman as the Joker posted a couple of pages ago and I just did this quickly to see how it would look. I kinda tried to make something similar to the STAS Bizarro pic that was posted, but I got bored and I'm not that good with ps.

i'm not liking the lack of color. I noticed that in the trailer too. I hope they fix that because the skin tone looks like a Walker (fans of The Walking Dead will know what i meant).

I wasn't a fan of his skin colour at first, but I like it now. It kind of screams the fact that Supes still an alien that looks like an human.

Yeah, the movie does look kinda cold, which I guess is sort of a synonym for realism these days. I dont mind it as long as we get some beautiful color-shots as well. I imagine the color-palettes will parallel the different moods in the film since not all shots seen so far are equally bleak.
