It's assumed (by male artists) that when a male hero's costume is translated into a female one, at least 50% of the fabric will go missing. Also, the female counterpart's spine becomes as flexible as wet noodle so that she can assume all manner of physically-impossible poses. See The Hawkeye Initiative for details.

I can't decide which is worse between Lady Cap's bare midriff or Iron Woman's weirdly positioned boob plates. There would be no need for individual boob plates anyway. Her breasts would fit inside of a normal chest plate.
