I agree. That should be the hairstyle Supes has in JL.

No thanx to the hairstyle in the new pictures. Looks even more stylized than in MOS. Looks like a music-video from the 80s-90s.

Then just have it trimmed up a bit in the back near his neck line if you want to avoid the 80's or 90's look.
The top part of his hair parting on the left, flowing to the right in what naturally looks like a non-forced S curl is what makes it look good. |

Dont get all the love for the S-curl. Dont care if it's a character signature-thing. It's silly and it looks stupid.

I agree. I don't like it in live action. Comics, its easier to accept. It's an eye sore on a real person.

Still wouldnt want that hair in MOS. It also looks brightened, like in the 80s.

I still find it funny that his hair outside of the film looks more like Superman's to me.
Anyone going to make a manip?

It could be Ford's Wetherby line. Ford is actually the only designer I really like. The way he cuts his suits is actually very traditional and similar to classic Savile Row. Who else can you think of who still uses double English pleats and has the good sense to match low rise pants with a lower button stance so that shirt doesn't show under a closed jacket button. I still stand by my statement that most designer suits are overpriced junk.

Agree. I think it's because he normally parts his hair in the other direction. You can see it fighting to lay like it normally does. That's why it's flopping in front like that.

I see what youre saying. Yeah, it is trying to go back. I do appreciate the effort but it doesn't make it this time. I'm a fan who is satisfied with what we have in MOS over something like that.

Apart from it being a matter of personal taste (to each their own), this also comes down to 'traditionalists' vs 'experimentalists'.
I for one generally like the curl or 'spit curl' look if: - That's the way someone's hair somewhat naturally flows/sits - Isn't too forced Also I happen to side with the traditionalists as far as Superman's look or coiffure is concerned. This is how it's usually been since 1938 and if it ain't broke there's no need to fix it. It is one of the things that makes the character visually unique.

Anyways there are things you would never (or rarely) find in a contemporary Savile Row suit such as those pretty imposing shoulders (wich seems to be Ford's most notable signature to date) on someone as built as Cavill especially in combination with a jacket that is almost too tight in the waist area. Those outrageously big lapels on a two button jacket would be considered a disgrace by any Savile Row tailor. On top of that, the vest seems too big, hence that unsightly fold/crease coming from the top button. If this is indeed a bespoke suit, you'd get your butt kicked out of Savile Row for a job like that. Clearly Tom Ford's styling is not for everyone. His fit even less so and I don't think this suit quit gives Cavill's build justice nor that Cavill's gives Tom Ford's work justice.

Yeah, loving Cavill's look at the awards. C'mon Zack. Remember this for the sequel.

His square jaw, damn, it's so much like Superman. I really like his hair here, that should just be the style for the next MOS film. It doesn't look forced. Looks like he ran his hands in his hair. I'm here for a spit curl if it looks natural and unforced.

This is like one instance in the entire history of comic book movies that the internet was actually pretty spot-on with their fan-casting.
