I never saw Bale thrown around as much pre-BB as I saw Cavill's name thrown around pre-MOS. Then again, I wasn't paying much attention that far back, so I might've missed Bale's name.

On youtube there is a video of Cavill at the Critic's Choice Awards as a presenter. I don't know if is the cut of the suit, or what, but his shoulder's look immensely wide, and he does certainly look impressive on stage.

Bale was on my radar after watching Equilibrium, but I wasn't involved in the fan community back then so I don't know if he as fan casted much.

I was around during all that (here and other boards) and it was insane how big of a fan favourite he was.

Yeah, I wasn't a member here at the time, but I was definitely a lurker, and I remember Bale being discussed quite regularly.

So, since we know Nolan is the one who suggested Cavill to Snyder in the first place, you could say that Nolan's the guy responsible for the two rare cases of the fan-favorites actually being cast as superheroes. And he supposedly never even goes online. Ha.

That's a great shot. Definitely photoshopped though.

But it's something for both sides of the S-curl debate. It's not quite an S-curl, but there's something suggestive instead. Looks natural, which is the most important. This'd be a good look for the sequels. We might even get it too.

His name was all over the Bat boards infact when I thought of Bale for Batman (I had just watched American Psycho) that's when I first joined the Hype (had a different user name then).

Yeah, that's pretty much how I recall it - American Psycho put Bale in people's minds for both Bond and Batman (well, moreso Bruce Wayne than Batman really) and Equilibrium further highlighted how great he'd be. Funny thing is that I remember a rumor about Bale only agreeing to do Equilibrium because he saw it as some kind of 'extended Batman screen-test' for the people at WB.

I've always liked McConaughey in that includes 1 or 2 iPod his room cons but he totally owned in Frailty.

i know this is henry's thread but i would not be opposed to him as lex(looks good bald too!!) he was damn right scary in killer joe and he has been going full blown dramatic lately

I remember a funy story that Bale told around the release of RoF - he's invisaged Quinn as this kind of ripped, sinewy post-apocolyptic build and dieted accordingly, only for MM to turn up jakked after months of weight training. After seeing him Bale'S competitive streak came out in him and he headed immediately for the gym to pump some iron and put on some size to match MM.

Oh, and the headbutt Van Zan lays on Quinn in the movie was real.
