I wouldn't mind if they made Redwing a robotic drone bird type thing which Falcon had cybernetic interface with.

Yeah, they asked him specifically about Redwing, and he just "no commented."

He *did* specifically say: "I will have wings. I will be able to fly. I will be a superhero and fight people, namely The Winter Soldier." In case anybody had any doubt.

And he said "it’s a take off the comic book, it’s not the exactly storyline of the comic book." In case anybody had any doubt.

If Red Wing is in the film, it should just be his pet that is expertly trained and has an eerie sixth sense. With Falcon, basically just understanding that somethings wrong based on the birds behaviour

I find it interesting that he is excited to see what the Russo Bros do with the movie since he's a big fan of their work on Community.

According to an early script leak, Redwing is actually Vanko's cockatoo from IM2. SHIELD agent Sam Wilson took him into protective custody and bonded with him after Vanko's death at the end of IM2.

(P.S.: If anyone actually believes that, I've also got some oceanfront property in Arizona I'd like to sell them)

Redwing would be nice if they can make it work, but he's certainly not make-or-break
it'd be fine with me if Falcon's suit was just patched into spy satellites, and he could access them at any time to run recon, or something like that.

If this is going to be roughly similar to the final version and they give Mackie something to work with in the script, then I can easily see him being a new fan favorite.

he'll get the same **** they gave Hawkeye for (despite being more skilled than a regular human) being the weakest on the team.

I can't get over the fact that it looks like Falcon is holding two guns under his wings, that is freaking cool. Also, the Peregrine Falcon is the fastest animal alive, I'd love to see that reflected in Sam's character.

The closer I look, it looks like those are just the handles for controlling the wings, not guns...although guns may be built-in.

No, it definitely looks like guns; which would be in keeping with his Ultimate costume, that this is based on. The wings are strapped to his arms with those belts you see.

I don't think the guns are mounted to the wings, as some have suggested; it'd be pretty awkward to reload or clear jams if they're in a fixed position.
