if nolan can do films between batman, I don't see why snyder can't. Especially when snyder doesn't have to write them.
If anything this may mean jla comes out during a year when snyder is off doing star wars crap.

The colors in that look better to me than the ones I've seen up to now. It gives me some hope.

The MOS costume seems to have bright colors except on film.
I'd be more worried about losing Snyder if they announced him as director to the next Star Wars film comming up. Right after MOS comes out we should be hearing if there is a sequel quickly in the works or if the next Superman film is JL. |

It will be broken up; by the frame. I have a feeling Snyder will rarely show full frontals of Supes costume, and if he does, the middle section will be cleverly broken up by shadows, objects in the forground or, like in the shot where he is escorted by the army, by his own hands.

Love that suit.
I don't know if this has been brought up, but considering he breaks a lot of exclusives pertaining to our interests, I thought it might be worth mentioning. Geoff Boucher, Nolan's favorite fanboy/legitimate journalist has left the LA Times (He ran the "Hero Complex" section there) and joined Entertainment Weekly. He just opened a new section at EW's site called "Cape Town," which is basically Hero Complex: Redux, covering geek-friendly movies, TV, comics, etc. No interesting MoS tidbits at the moment, but I'd imagine we might want to keep an eye out there for some exclusives considering he seems to be Nolan's go-to guy (and now they're working under the same WB-owned banner). http://ew.com/capetown

Wish I could say that there was something to look forward to after MOS, but it doesn't seem like to be the case at the moment. This just makes me wish that Warner Bros. didn't own all of the DC characters like how it is with Marvel's characters, hence preventing them from making a huge ass cinematic universe with every major player(s) that they have at their disposal. |

Lets say we get our wish and MOS is very successful. You don't think they would fast track a sequel?

If I had to take a guess, I'd say that they want to make a superhero ensemble as soon as possible since from their perspective, it's a sure thing to make the billion dollars mark at the B.O like "The Avengers" did for Marvel. Hell, I'd argue that regardless if JL is critically successful or not, if the film ends up making close to the amount of money that the studio was hoping for and that they have a solid idea on where they want to go with a sequel, that we won't be seeing another solo superman film for quite awhile. During that time, we could also end up losing the likes of Amy Adams and Lawrence Fishburne since I doubt that they'd want to continue on with their roles if they were going to be regulated to minor cameos within a JLA film. Putting it simply, I see the very existence of a JLA movie right now being a cancer to Superman's or any given DC franchise that has a hero from the JL Roster. |

Why can't Cavill film JL one year and MOS sequel the next like Robert Downey Jr? I agree that the same crew may not be involved but I think it would be a huge mistake not to follow MOS with a sequel even if JL is on their schedule. What was the point of getting a billion dollar Superman franchise up and running if there only going to do one film and then do a bunch of JL films before getting back to Superman?

Not that it means anything, but Snyder's spokesperson denied the rumor.

This why I hate alot of these websites. One site claims one thing. Another site claims another. At least the Hollywood Reporter has a comment from Snyder's rep.

Plus, I'm definitely not one to favor having to recast several integral characters in Superman's franchise, namely Amy, Diane, or Lawrence, who are likely to be the characters that survive and could come back if a sequel was ever made. Despite my dislike for Katie, I didn't like it at all that she dropped out and Maggie then got the role since I hated that visual discontinuity. And unlike Marvel/Iron Man, Warner Bros. seemingly has no plans to make a DC universe franchise in the long run like the MCU, let alone have a plan on how they'd go about it really. |

I don't like characters being recasted either. It's amazing to think how long it took to get this movie going. We heard about it in FEB 2010 and it comes out in June 2013. That's three years of our lives for two hours of film. It better be worth it.

It's only a matter of fortune that the story that Warner Bros. picked up from Goyer was seemingly a great one, and that we were able to get the level of talent in Crew and Cast alike. |

Yeah. I remember all those stories about this film being rushed because of the lawsuit. But it doesn't feel that way at all. They seem to have plenty of time to get a good story together as well as a great cast. They certaintly have plenty of post production time. They've had more time than most CB movies.

I totally agree. The post production time that they had at their disposal will only help the film, especially since Snyder loves to craft his film at its finest during that period. I just hope that whatever success that the film receives during its box office run is able to warrant the company heads that focusing on a Superman franchise is both a safe and profitable route for them for the time being. Whatever plans that they have for a JLA film, since no matter what anyone says, it’ll happen someday eventually; I hope it takes place like Rust (I think it was him that said this) said, with the JL franchise taking place after the events of MOS’s trilogy. I want a great and memorable Superman trilogy before anything else, with Zack, Goyer, Nolan (whichever one), Henry, and Amy present in each installment. |

I'm kind of torn.
I was kind of looking forward to a Snyder Star Wars film, especially one that embraces the "samurai" roots of the Jedi. I know one thing.......the lightsaber duels in a Snyder Star Wars film would be ******* insane!!!!!

I dunno, I'm kind of genuinely looking forward to seeing what Snyder has in mind with The Last Photograph.
We know the guy can do flashy special effects and fight scenes. But looking at just the surprised reactions from the few beautiful shots in the MOS trailer, it'd be nice to see Snyder delve into the more 'serious' side of his talents a bit and actually turn a few heads. Of course that could all massively backfire, and he'll have to run back to his genre niche... but you never know!

It's confirmed. Zack Snyder's Star Wars film is a fake rumor. There's still hopes for MOS 2!

I agree that the MoS films should have a consistent look and feel, but no one can say where the trilogy if it even gets planned and made can and will go.
Batman Begins looked different than TDK/TDKR with is warm tones/coloring throughout the film. Not sure if they wanted to tell a trilogy or if it was ever brought up before BB. However, the films still flowed IMO. I also agree that the last Die Hard looked and felt so different that it could be seen as a standalone film separate from the franchise. But I also think that the new look symbolized the changing times Bruce's character had to deal with. On a side note I may be the only person that enjoyed and like IM2. Yeah the film seemed to slightly dismiss some of the elements that had made the first IM great because it was setting up the Avengers storyline more, but I felt the film captured a lot of what made the first movie so great. IMO people had way higher expectations the second time out, which was reasonable. I agree IM2 could have went darker and deeper with about 15-20mins more of Tony's illness and substance abuse, but overall the film was good. I don't mind if MoS goes really deep or not. I think the film will be good regardless. The only problem I see occurring is that because so many people have their own idea of what makes Superman and how he should be portrayed that some fans will be let down or look at MoS as not being Superman the way some fans look at Nolan's Batman as not Batman.
