Michael Biehn or Kurt Russell are the only men manly enough to play 616 Fury.

George Clooney would make a great White Fury, too.

I threw this out there in the Daredevil thread, figured I'd suggest it here as well:

MCD was, look how that turned out. I'd much rather prefer an actor with presence of Fisk than a glorified body builder who fits the aesthetic representation.

MCD could have been a good Fisk if the movie as a whole didn't suck! Despite what was said about it not being his main thing being huge and strong is a major part of who the king pin is. I don't want them to create their own character as a namesake.

With the untimely demise of Michael Clarke Duncan I dont think a large enough, talented enough actor exists in show biz. Oddly enough they might have to go the route of CGI for Wilson Fisk.

With Kingpin as the best part of the movie, you mean?

A repost:
Dude D'Onofrio would be awesome as Kingpin! For the movie anyway. That said, I don't think hed be willing to go full fatty for the role. They'd have to settle for a husky Fisk or rely on prosthetics. VD says hes not willing to do the major weight fluctuations anymore, given his age. But he would be amazing in the role. The dude is mesmerizing and an immensely talented actor. No other actor has his combo of skill, resume, and physicality (height, build, face). Plus he's the perfect age imo. If Marvel has any intention of making this movie, they need to start lobbying D'Onofrio ASAP. ![]() The only other choice of this caliber is James Gandolfini, but hes a distant second in my book. Plus the comparisons with his other kingpin role would be constant. The idea that the actor needs to look EXACTLY like he's drawn in the comics is of course absurd. lol at using CGI. He aint the THING ffs. Thanks for the chuckle though. (And MCD somehow being the definitive version of the character? Just wow.) Last edited by Joeyjojo72; 12-12-2012 at 08:43 PM. |

Random casting ideas for Fantastic Four that I've been kicking around. Went with a semi-youngish (early 30s) Reed because that's probably more likely to happen than an older Reed. And since I believe they're going to use mocap/CGI for the Thing this time, I just picked someone based more on his voice and attitude/acting ability.
Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic: Lee Pace (assuming he doesn't play Star-Lord in GotG) ![]() Sue Storm/Invisible Woman: Alice Eve ![]() Johnny Storm/Human Torch: Alex Pettyfer ![]() Ben Grimm/The Thing: Karl Urban

Pettyfer and Alice Eve are pretty inspired (if predictable) as the Storm siblings; I suppose Pace could make a decent Reed (better than Gruffudd, anyway).....but Urban as the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing....???? Just....no.

To be honest, the Thing was (and still is) the hardest character for me to cast. At the time I wrote that, like I said, I'd just watched Dredd and thought "Hey, Karl Urban might be a pretty good Thing..."

They *got* their perfect Thing already, and they really, really need to bring him back for the reboot. The prosthetics could use an upgrade, or better yet go CGI on The Original Brick; but otherwise, Chiklis is and always has been prime choice. He's the ONLY thing the Tim Story FF movies got right.

Honestly though, Urban looks more like Reed Richards than Lee Pace does.

I was just sitting here watching Quantum of Solace (prepping for Skyfall) and I got to thinking about how much I REALLY wanna see Pierce Brosnan as a comic book villain. I'd say he'd ****ing kill it as Dr Doom. Who else though you think he could play well? Also, love love love D'Onofrio or Ghandolfini as Fisk.

Since he was mentioned above, James Gandolfini is an actor I would love to see get fit into the MCU somewhere, I just don't know where. I would say maybe The Thing but I'm not too sure. He'd be great for the more Pathos filled scenes with Ben Grimm, I'd just want to see if he could do angry Brooklyn without sounding too Tony Soprano :P

If Frank Castle should show up in the future and it wasen't Thomas Jane... I wondered who who it should be.
Max Martini came to mind.
