Absolutely. They need a great director. WB can't afford otherwise. They have found that it only has worked with Nolan and hopefully Snyder. To go for just a serviceable director-for-hire...the JL movie is just too big and important for them. They should go for the biggest talent they can find and who wants to take it on. |

Has anyone read that hilarious article on the shiznet about how Will Beall has this huge and frustrating responsibility in writing the script for this film? I can't post it here because of the language but I can't help but think it's pretty close to the truth.

Looking at the front poll on superherohype's anticipated 2014 Summer releases, I just realised that DC does not have any superhero movies scheduled for next summer.
DC needs to step it up. Next Summer, Marvel is going to own the box office with these triple threats....The Amazing Spiderman 2, Guardians of the Galaxy and X Men: Days of Future Past. Not to mention, Captain America 2....thought it will not be released during Summer. DC has None for next year. |

Well, not if it forces them to think about their movies more. Honestly, do you really think we'd get a JL movie if it had not been for the Avengers? I know they have been trying to plan a movie for the better part of the last couple of decades but they have had plenty of obstacles! At the risk of "counting my chickens before they hatch", I'd say Avengers' success gave them the motivation to work past those obstacles!

As pointed out already, he HFMF was talking about Marvel characters. Spider-Man is being developed by Sony, X-Men is being developed by Fox and Guardians by Marvel Studios. If all the films are classed as "Marvel" then they are in competition with themselves.
DC Comics do not have a movie studio, so to say Marvel is beating DC is moot, because there isn't a DC for them to beat, it's like saying McDonalds is beating Apple in the fast food market, even though Apple do not have any plans to make an iBurger. WB do not need to continually release superhero films. They have other franchises: The Hobbit Sherlock Holmes The Hangover Journey Plus that is neglecting other original properties that Warner Bros are greenlighting like next years Pacific Rim and will be co-producing Interstellar should Christopher Nolan decide to take the reins.

He doesn't have the confirmation. That's why he hasn't posted.

Im aware of that. What he should have done is just waited to post anything on the internet about having a scoop until he was positive about it, basically what Im saying is those twitter posts are blue balling us, he shouldve just waited and then posted the story on his website.

I dont like how he says to retweet when he posts about having a scoop, without even posting the scoop. Thats just asking for attention. He craves recognition and its kinda weird. I'd respect him more if he just posted news when he was sure about it, instead of these attention grabbing teases. Let's just hope he posts the story today.

Don't really care if anyone disagrees but this is some BS. It's a ridiculously long wait for his scoop..he should have waited until he had confirmation.
