Giving Colossus a second chance would be great. I don't think Daniel Cudmore can really act so I wouldn't mind a recast even though it would be very noticeable (well at least for me). I definitely want to see Colossus to have some character development and story. In X3, he was just there.

and it LOOKED like it too. It was an obvious mask and it angered me because of that.

After X2 I was really excited about how Colossus would look in X3. Then he ends up looking a whole lot worse

X2's Colossus was phenomenal, they obviously went with cheaper route for X3 and it showed.

Yep, I had this vision of X3 of a scene just before trouble hits with Beast, Nightcrawler, Iceman & Colossus chilling out. The minute trouble arrives, Nightcrawler bamfs, a CGI Beast looks around & Iceman & Colossus ice up/metal up on either side. Apart from Nightcrawler (who was absent) they didn't really achieve any of those aesthetics (although KG was awesome as Beast regardless) as I wanted in X3.

these directors dont seem to find that appealing it seems

I wonder if Bryan will be reworking the Beast make-up or going the Visual Effects route?

They are probably sticking with make-up just like with Mystique.

I had no problem with XMFC Beast. He was supposed to look slightly odd, he was a young Beast.

Yeah the "just-feet" thing wasn't good enough. The ONLY purpose it served is to have the Xavier outing him by accident scene. Should have been more "mutant" looking...maybe have the Man in Black or whatever..already know about mutants because of Hank. But...whatevaaaa

Although Nicholas Hoult is a decent actor, and he was good in the film, it would have helped if they had stuck with the original casting of Benjamin Walker as he has more of the stocky build of the character. But Rothman vetoed the casting, believing he was too old to be Beast. Go figure!

Same here. The only thing that I didn't care for was when he does that silly smile while flying the Blackbird.

The beast will probally be the cat like beast. Now they may do makeup better this time
around but with Matthew Vaughn as producer and co-writer Bryan Singer may want It to be somewhat consent with first Class. |

I think if I were Hank and just turned into a blue furry monster I wouldn't be just like "aww shucks look at me" as he did when he walked into frame. I would have liked to have seen someone find him hiding in the shadows of his lab or something.

With that shoddy make-up job, I'd put Hank in the shadows every chance I get too!
I kid, I kid.

No. It was the first leap of his secondary mutation- it's not going to be all butch.

I had no problem with the make-up, I just didn't like the way it made Beast's face so immobile, like he's had a dozen plastic surgeries.
I'm a bit torn on whether they should use more CGI animation for Beast though, because no matter how good it's become in the past few years it still looks fake when they use it for people/creatures. |
