It's amazing that Iron Man 3 appears to still be filming stuff and it comes out in May. MOS stopped filming so long ago.

Skyfall took so long to make because MGM went bankrupt. Die Another Day didn't get a sequel because Pierce Brosnan finished his contract.

By the way herolee10 if this Empire comes out in 2 days with a MOS feature you better be putting that Justin Bieber avvy up!

One poster mention Empire Magazine this Thursday. Another said the last Thursday of the month with a possible on-line reveal on Monday.

Either way we don't know if it includes anything new on MOS or just a retread of what's already been said and shown.

X-Men: First Class did the same thing... they did additional shooting up through April for the June 2011 release. But the movie turned out well, hope it's the same for IM3. I don't know if it was scenes they weren't able to shoot during principal photography last year, or just stuff added on.

MOS was filmed in 2011 to meet a 2012 release.

So its not a fair to compare a film thats virtually completed to one thats still in production.

Advertisements are meant to reach as many people as possible. Just because we are Superman fans doesn't mean the average person is. The Superbowl provides an avenue to expand its awareness and continue the excitement. It's not just the Superbowl. It's the Superbowl parties, the bars and restaurants playing the games and the replays of the Superbowl TV spots on the internet and media days after the game. It would be a mistake to avoid one of the biggest events of the year and only have a last minute advertising blitz cause people have short memories. We may have rewatched the trailer multiple times but most people only see it once and need to be reminded.

Still there's a chance for a cover reveal soon since the mag is actually released next Thursday on the 31st so hopefully by Monday we'll get to see the cover. Hopefully it's MOS but it could also be Iron Man 3 but MOS is featured first under their Superhero movies preview for 2013 on the front page so perhaps thats a good sign?

So, rumor of the day says someone from S:TM has a cameo in MOS.

Yep, just read that. Wonder if there is any truth to it, as i remember Snyder saying he wanted this film to distance itself from all previous media versions of Superman.

I imagine something as discrete and predictable as say Sarah Douglas as a council-member on Krypton. Nothing more. None but fans will notice and it wont affect the story.

That rumor is probably true since it's from Jim Bowers, the guy who run the site capedwonder.com.

I'm going to guess that it's either Jack O'Halloran who played Non, or the police officer that Superman pawn off the spider-man thief.

it could also be Jeff East (teen Clark). I think they're saying to think outside the box when it comes to the person who made the cameo.

I remember on how it was supposedly reported that Singer had wanted Reeve to cameo in SR back when he was still alive in SR. I think it was said that it would have involved Reeve playing a citizen that was watching the television when Superman makes his return by saving the crashing plane and saying something along the lines of welcoming the hero back to the Earth.
