I don't have a Wii, but I preordered this anyway.

I got this pre-ordered yesterday, I'm so stoked for it. Finally a solid JRPG.

Nope. You can use the Wiimote + numchuck. Although there's a special version of Xenoblade I ordered that comes with the classic controller.

For those who haven't grabbed this yet, it is by far the best JRPG to hit this generation. It is huge and there is so much to explore and do. Fantastic game so far. Story is pretty awesome too.

I'm about 4 hours in and, yeah, it's rather brilliant. The combat system is the most refreshing, fast-paced thing that the genre has seen in years.

Yes, the combat system is fantastic and like you said, probably one of the most refreshing things created for the JRPG in years.
I'm about 16 hours in and I'm having a blast with it. The story is awesome too.

Yea, it works with the classic controller...it's how I play it.
At the sixteen hour mark I'm still at refugee camp. The side quests have me addicted I just haven't moved on yet.

You might want to stay away from the sidequests your first time through. I've heard from numerous sources that doing the sidequests makes it super easy to get way overleveled and make the game stupid easy.

I know, but I'm not worried about it. They are fun, and that's what is important.

Anyone beaten this yet?
I'm on the last boss but I think I'm going to go back and grind/clear up for a bit yet. This game is really fantastic though, best game on the Wii, apart from maybe MP3.

Just finished it. Yeah, this game is fantastic. I hope Shulk and Metal Face make it into the next SSB.

Same for me with Pandora's Tower, though I can actually start that now.

Same. I figured the game would become hella rare so I made sure I bought it early but never got around to playing it. Reviews have been overwhelmingly high for this game. Now the "sequel" has been unveiled and I am going to finally pop this game's cherry. It will be my 1st Wii game played on my Wii U.
This new Xeno game where getting has done the impossible...it made me not care about the next SSBs...

The trailer for "X" really made me want to finally play it, but I've got Ni no Kuni coming in the mail and I can only handle one JRPG at a time.

Since working alongside Nintendo, Monolith Soft have realized just how important it is for a team to work closely together, they say. source:Siliconera |
