I don't see how Kitty can be the time traveler when she didn't exist in the 70s. Unless theres an actual time machine involved. Which would suck.

The important thing is to have Kitty on the past, like the comic, however the travel takes place.

Id preffer Kitty traveling physically, and working with the team of the 60's before any other mutant doing the mind thing, with no Kitty on the past.

The special thing of the comic is that Kitty was the character that helped the x-men from the past, its an iconic moment of the history of the character on the comics, to use her only on the future would be such a wasted opportunity

No, I know Kitty is important to the story but it obviously won't happen like in the comics. I just don't want to see a time machine. If anything they should introduce Trever Fitzroy and he and Kitty could time travel back.

I kinda wondered before if time-travelling Kitty could be the addition to the FC crew, which is seriously lacking females at the moment.

I also like the idea of physical time travel way better than all that consciousness swapping mumbo-jumbo.

In all seriousness, I doubt Banshee and Havoc are coming back, at least as primary members of the team. I feel that they would have been already been signed on.

She can't be, not like in the comics anyway. This Kitty was born in what, the late 80s, early 90s? She's not going to have so much as a "twinkle in her dad's eye" to travel back to, let alone a physical body.

They have to, else Prof X doesn't HAVE a team to fight evil with. If the movie opens and they're gone and some randoms are at the school instead it's going to be very jarring. The actors are available, NOT signing them is going to look very, very bad. It'd further emphasize this feeling that this is really X3 the Bryan Singer Cut: take away all the characters that don't have an older version in the future ("his" timeline).

Well, thus far all of the casting announcements have been made by Singer via Twitter. Maybe he didn't think a tweet saying "Caleb Landry Jones and Lucas Till signed on!" would be very exciting.

That's a very good point. Flemyng did confirm he's coming back but no mention from Singer's twitter so Lucas/Havok and Caleb/Banshee fans (the 3-4 that exist ) shouldn't worry.

Of course Flemyng, on that very same interview, also hinted that Vaughn was directing the new Star Wars flick but we all know how that turned out!

I was quite surprised that Bryan Singer is bringing back Ellen Page. I thought he wouldn't bring back the actors that he didn't work with in X1/X2/FC. I'm not a fan of Ellen Page and Shadowcat, but I hope Bryan Singer could improve her character!
