I'll be honest, I thought that was refreshing. And I loved the Rinzler/Sam duel. Guy knows how to do action.

TF got plenty of crap, its just that the masses that paid for TF didn't care for TL either.

So we agree that people shouldn't watch either.

No we disagree in that TL deserved more and TF deserved to not exist.

It didn't work for me. The fast paced music and how slow the jets were moving was just off for me.

I have to agree, I thought all the action scene's in the movie were good-great, I didnt dislike any of them and they all entertained me at the very least.

I was disappointed in a few things. They build up the revolution, introduce the tanks, make reference to the fastest bike on the grid, show one lightcycle battle with no conclusion, give a glimpse of Kevin's powers (and establish in the first one how users are like gods on the Grid) and... nothing. They failed to do anything with it.
I wanna see disc wars fought on bikes. That would be awesome! Or imagine like an all out war between tanks, recognizers, lightcycles and discs being thrown around - or hell even those light katanas and the light runners. I'm gonna bet they'll have a sun on the new grid too. Quora loved that **** way too much for her to not push Sam into building it into the system. And I want a hybrid of MCP and Sark (Dillinger Sr.) and I want the main, head-on adversary to be Dillinger Jr. Also, Tron should obviously be in this one - maybe as a mentor? (Think Yoda) Also, Kevin's ghost, or a sign of him might be nice (like Obi-Wan in ESB). The battles need to be all out. Integrate all the vehicles, batons, sabres, guns and discs into an all out war. And for God's sake, show us what the Users are TRULY capable of. We're told they're god-like, now show us!

Some of what you want can be seen in Uprising.
I guess the most god-like powers were Flynn creating Clu and destroying him.

Yeah, I haven't missed an episode. And I mean, Users can create - anything. Flynn could have created an army of programs to assist him, but he didn't. They can control anything physical on the grid (as per the first movie). It's like the Force on acid.

Just realized something I found on tumblr. Apparently this guy in Legacy who derezzed himself was meant to be Zed? I don't know if it's official but it sure does look like it.

Lol, you would think by pointing out the fastest bike on the Grid, it would be used for some exciting purpose later. Nope, he just gives it away.

Yeah, from a narrative point of view that was pretty poor writing.

As long as "young" bridges is gone, I will be happy. Those effects were horrible.

I didn't think it was horrible, but there were definitely moments were it looked very fake. It was most obvious in the scene where he was in the real world talking to his son when he was a kid. In the grid it wasn't quite as noticeable. But I won't shed a tear to not see it again. It's an interesting concept, but the technology just needs more tweaking.
