Rubber suit Superman. Seems so wrong it has to be right.
What I need is yet another remake of The Wicker Man with Cage wearing that costume.

I could buy Cage as maybe Jor-El, or even Brainiac or Lex. but NOT as Superman.
oh, and if WB wants MOS to succeed so that JL will succeed, perhaps, idk, they could start being more aggressive in promoting MOS??? just a thought...........

So do I. Good or bad, it'd probably be something we've never seen before. Especially if it got released in 1998. And you gotta admit, Cage actually looks like he'd come from another planet.

I would love for them to turn the script into an animated flick, but I know they already did the Death Of Superman.

Nice comparison pic, personally, Cavill looks more like Superman than Routh

I think that is the best pose so far for Cavill, and I think that is the best pose of Routh, so it works for comparison. Not exactly the same angle, but close enough.

It's actually pretty damn good for back then. I believe that is the final suit he wears in the script, the more traditional one.

Does the Nic Cage suit have cuffs like MoS? It's hard to tell.

Cavill looks much better in comparison to Routh. Solid and tough looking, the darker blue helps I think.

Does anyone know if the MOS suit is based on concept art going all the way back to Burton's Superman?

It does have built in cuffs. It goes to show you the suits form the past are influencing a lot of suits going forward. There was some sketches of Cage with the emblem shaped belt buckle too, which Routh ended up wearing.

And the Cage suit even has some vasculature showing.
