So according to all those rumors, we'll see the PS4 by the end of this year. So I guess Versus will be a launch title. What do you think?

yeah........with the dawn of the next gen of consoles seemingly upon us, I'm starting to feel more and more that Versus will be a PS4 title.

might as well just call it Final Fantasy XV.

I always said versus would be a next gen title. It was just obvious it would end up being that. and it's the only and best way for them to recover from their screw ups. Every thing else is all stall tactics.

Looks like SE's gotten off their rears and finally working on FFX HD.

The HD version of Final Fantasy X was first announced way back at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show for the PS3 and the Vita. Last summer, Final Fantasy XIII director Motomu Toriyama indicated that the game was a while off saying, "Regarding HD conversions, there is a lot to look into, so please wait a bit more."



Game producer Shinji Hashimoto from Square Enix apologized for the long wait, adding that they were concentrating on developing the HD version properly for the Vita and the PS3, aiming to do the best HD version possible. No release date was given tonight, but Hashimoto said the game's release date announcement would be coming shortly and told everyone to "wait for that."

Boooo! X was my first and favorite FF game. I really need this to come out, but I kinda think it will be a PS4 title and wont come out anytime soon

some thing tell's me that X will be for both ps3 and ported to 4 later. Any thing new like "versus" will be for 4 any ways

Final Fantasy X HD to include X-2 on PlayStation 3

According to a 2ch rumor picked up by FF-Reunion, the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy X HD will include both Final Fantasy X and X-2 on a single disc.

PlayStation Vita owners will be disappointed to know that the Vita versions of these two game’s will be sold separately.

The rumor also stated that each game will come with its respective International edition content. Final Fantasy X HD is planned to release in 2013.

This information will supposedly be in next week’s issue of Jump. According to FF-Reunion, the poster has a proven track record with these type of leaks.

If it happens though, I hope they'll use both of the international versions. It always pissed me off that Japan got extra suits in their game. Wouldn't have bothered me, but unlike FFX International, FFX-2 wasn't entirely in English.

VGLeaks is reporting that not only has Final Fantasy Versus XIII been retitled Final Fantasy XV, but for the past two years it has been co-developed by Sony, and will be exclusive to the Playstation 4.

I kinda figured. I just pray they get back to the roots of Final Fantasy, there has been so much complaints I just think they would have to be...fools to not listen. Also did you go through FFVIII Soapy?

It's been a long time and a lot has probably changed since the last time we saw Versus, but while the core gameplay was closer to Kingdom Hearts that traditional Final Fantasy, it did have towns, an overworld, an airship, etc.

The Final Fantasy X & X-2 remaster looks pretty nice. Its MSRP (?) is $40, or at least that's what Amazon is selling pre-orders for. I think FFX was the last excellent Final Fantasy console game. It all looks nice now with trophy support, widescreen, and the international edition additions.



The upcoming port of Final Fantasy V to the iPhone, OTOH, looks bad due to the inconsistent art direction. Changing what it was into the Final Fantasy Dimensions style isn't quite a good fit.

Well I loved X, X-2 was okay better than anything that has been FF in a decade but like Havok said it's kind of a nice bonus. I really hope this release is the beginning of a new era for SE. I hope they start running back to their roots.

I think I've read some people saying before that Sony has some policy that if a company wants an HD remaster retail release (box + disk), it must have at least 2 games. They make exceptions for the PS Store, though. I don't know how true it is.
