I love necas figures I believe they're almost as good in quality as the hot toys ones( yes they are) although the HT figures have replica clothes and 99.9 % face accuracy The neca ones are still great specially for their price range.

what are the average price ranges of both?

Yeah....they're a sight to behold. Here's a quick scale comparison I found...lol

They just finished their 18" Captain America:

I mean price range they're around $40 which is a good deal considering the scale and articulation. The Hot Toys figure will range between $200-250 but Hot Toys will produce the most accurate likeness and sculpt compared to everything else with real material for the costume and a perfect paint job. I mean you get what you pay for and their Chris Reeve Superman figure was phenomenal!

I've seen MECA as low as $22 and hot toys as low as $131 on Amazon.

It's all over the place to really give avg. But I've seen Hot Toys in the astronomical level of prices for a collectible... but it's immaculate .

If you're going after a Hot Toys figure then Sideshow Toys is the official distributor and usually have "Exclusive" versions of a figure supplied by Hot Toys that no other secondary market has but then you pay more of a premium going that way:

You and me both. I've wanted a badass Superman figure from them for years. And to think one is coming and it's MOS... wow.

Thanks for that link, just been going through all the figures, I've seen a bunch of them before but they never fail to amaze me. If the Superman figure is the same quality/likeness as the others there, then as a one off it's definitely a justifiable purchase.

As well as different heads, each figure seems to have a bunch of accessories, wonder what Supe's will include?

Anyone know a good supplier for Hot Toys in the UK?

here's a higher res image of the spoiler scene from lego. It looks like a convertible car will be thrown as well, and it seems like they'll be using an antenna tower, as opposed to a construction beam, as weapon...

Yeah hope the car is not some random addition to fill up the set, but rather is actually a specific thing which gets used and thrown in the film.

I'm with you dude I can't wait for the wave of merchandise coming up, I was disappointed by Superman Returns and was even welcoming that Bryan Singer would amp up the action for the sequel but hated hearing about script rewrites, delays, change of direction.

I wouldnt really rely too much on these toys depicting actual scenes from the movie. Maybe the Lego-ones, but not the other toys.

The toy commercials was accurate on plot points. The Black zero spaceship, Zod robot army, the graity beam. The commercial was made march 20 2011 before shannon was cast and that's why the zod figures have place holders.

You can even see zod symbol.

Obviously they made a few changes to zod armor and the robots standing beside him may look different or not.The smaller ones have sufboards and shields.

Is that Zod with a Cape on??? This is significant if so, as every action figure shown so far, aswell as the only set pic shown shows Zod without cape.

I was referring to specify scenes and not designs and plot point hints.

Yea it's zod with a cape, but this was early on before they started filming.I think they coulda decided to go without the cape. The armor zod have a blue cape and we know that won't be the case in the movie.

yes Zod is going to have a cape in the movie, but there are going to be times where he wont be wearing, it would seem the same can be said for Superman, thanks spoilers for that lol

No, they don't have surfboards. Those are how you stand them up, like those little green army men toys.
