Oh my God, I do too. They were saying he was too small to be Thor and that Thor needed to be played by some massive guy, like Triple H.

I could tell Chris had the capacity to get big for the role when I saw his shoulders fill the screen in Star Trek.

And that's why I no longer listen to opinions from people who suggest Wrestlers to star in movies
well, except maybe Rock... he gets a pass for certain roles

I still wish HHH had been one of the guys along with Stan Lee, to try lift Mjolnir in the crater (and obviously fail). Thought it would have been hilariously tongue-in-cheek.

So we know by reports that we'll be seeing Tony kind of suffering somewhat of a delayed Post Traumatic Distress from the events of "The Avengers" in Iron Man 3, where one of the things that's been affecting him to that point is probably on how he had come across several powerful adversaries and allies during that time.
So my question is, how do you guys think Thor should be affected from the events of "The Avengers"? Should his mentality be different from those events and if so how? |

The only psychological change I'd want is for him to have more of a "yeah whatever Loki, you do that again and I'm going to smash you straight back to jail" type attitude.
The rest of Thor's behaviour etc should be based on the events of TDW. I especially don't want the actual battle in Avengers to have any psychological effect on him - It's so far from his 'first rodeo' *cough* that he's hopefully 'used to it' a bit.

Yeah, if Thor had PTSD, he would've gotten it thousands of years ago
He should just be a bit more of a hardass, and more of a seasoned warrior, not as surprised by the things he sees on the battlefield, and like Bren said, colder towards Loki

I have to agree. Realistically there should be only so much ****e Thor should be able to take from Loki and not just tell him he's had enough of it and to get over himself.

But he's still not black enough to play Luke Cage
. As for the whole PTSD thing, Thor is a god- he can just brush the events off and get on with doing godly stuff. |

which is probably exactly what he is going to do in TDW, until more battles occur

I agree totally that when we next see Thor he should be at a point where he doesn't give a damn about Loki. I'd even like to see Odin and Frigga wanting to show a bit of mercy to Loki and Thor insisting on a harsher punishment.
With a bit of luck Loki will be the one having to work hard to convince Thor that he deserves another chance. |

Pretty much agreed with everything that everyone had to say in response to my previous post.
Well on another note, with the Empire Article confirming that Thor will be acting in as a full time general for the wars that Asgard is currently facing during this period, it’ll finally be a great chance for us to see the leadership qualities that Thor has in the MCU, let alone him commanding his own unit and not being as reckless regarding the safety of his soldiers like he was at the frost giants battle in the previous film. |

I reminded him that they were raised as brothers after all and he understood, so I hope the events of TA made Thor less tolerant of Loki. Most definately

Having said that, I wouldn't mind Thor saving Loki in a battle, and Loki saying something like "I thought you'd given up on me, brother?" with Thor responding, "I will never give up on you, I'm just done letting you walk over me".
Or something like that.

I'm just glad that Thor will FINALLY have a new set of main villains to interact with as opposed to being just stuck with primarily Loki. Everyone else have had their fair share of enemies to confront in their previous films before meeting Loki in "The Avengers", but we haven't really seen Thor having a main villain (Laufey doesn't count.lol) to deal with that wasn't Loki.

Since Thor will be on Earth for some portions of his battle with the Dark Elves, I really do hope that they allow him to do some kind of big feat involving him saving a large group of civilians like how they're allowing Iron Man to have that experience in saving a group of passengers falling out of a plane in Iron Man 3 (which I think looks awesome).
Hell, if he were allowed to save a large scale bridge from collapsing from where he was at, that'd be great as well as it'd have to involve him using several of his powers in order to make that work. |
