Why is New York sometimes referred to as "Gotham"?
Does it have anything to do with Batman or not at all? Thank you.

Washington Irving referred to the city as Gotham back in the early 1800's. Something to do with Dutch settlers and an insane asylum or something.

So, No, it has nothing to do with Batman, though Gotham city has everything to do with New York being referred to as Gotham that one time by that dead guy.

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
In Mike Allred's Red Rocket 7 there are 7 clones, each excelling and interested in
specific areas. 7 was music, 5 is art. While the book follows 7 through his life and the
various musicians he meets, was there ever anything said about 5's life and who he
meets? For example is there a short mention of meeting Andy Warhol or Jack Kirby?

Someone asked me a question and I didnt have a good answer.

Are there any Tony Stark/Bruce Wayne female superheroes? Women who are either trust fund babies or independently wealthy that aids them in crime fighting?

The Wasp, as well. Whenever Tony was broke or on bad terms with the Avengers, the Wasp tended to pick up the slack and handle all their bills.

But wasn't Batman city originally New York back in 1939?

I'm Going to pick up IDW's TMNT. Are the micro-series stories essential to the story or are they like Marvel with their event tie-ins?

Ultra-bump.

Does anyone know what's going on with Hellboy right now? Hellboy In Hell hasn't shipped in months.

Can anyone recommend any good comic binding services? I am running out of room for them currently---I have plenty of shelf room, but none for the individual comics, which are stored in boxes and tubs, currently.

There was a dude who had a thread here that made his own hardcovers. I did a search for the thread but couldn't find it. Far as I know he did it himself.

Sorry I couldn't really help, but you might be able to find a vid on youtube about book binding. I'd start with some of the crap you don't really care about, like, for instance, I'd probably try something like Cry for Justice or Amazons Attack. You know, to get your technique together.

Has anybody been reading Fairest? I like Fables, but I don't know if I care enough to read it. If someone says it's really good I might check it out though.

I'm falling in love with Ed Brubaker's writing. I bought his entire Captain America run into Winter Soldier and now I'm reading Velvet. I always hear is noir stuff, Criminal and Fatale, are great reads as well. But I'm really into spies and espionage and not too crazy about crime drama. So being that it's Brubaker, is it still worth checking out for someone like me?

Yes, but if you want some Superheroes, try his Batman run, and his amazingly awesome Wildstorm Series Sleeper. It's about a powered government agent sent undercover into a super criminal organization, only his handler, the only guy who knows he's actually a good guy, gets shot in the face and is stuck in a coma. So, he's stuck behind enemy lines with no backup, his own people hunting him, all the while trying not to get caught by the big super villain boss who happens to be the smartest man on the planet.

That's always sort of a loaded question. The only way to see if a writer transcends the genre you don't particularly like truly is to read it and see for yourself. No one can really tell you that.
