With an Inspire? I look at this phone and it lags. Can't imagine what steam would do to it.

It's more personal preference, as I'm sure that people will disagree, but while I like the GSIII a lot and would definitely buy it in a heartbeat, it feels cheap in my hand. Even though it's made out of a strong plastic, it would have been better if they went with a matte back.
The Bionic, on the other hand, feels much sturdier and high-end if that makes any sense.

Yeah, that's true. The GS3 did feel a little cheap when I tried it out. Honestly, it's too big for me. For my next phone, I'd rather something the size of the Razr M. If I want something with a bigger screen, I'll get a tablet.

See for me... The bigger the better. I'm tired of dinky phones. Phablets are right up my alley.

Droid Bionic is 4.3" inch as well, but I've played around with the GSIII and DNA, and 5" seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Does anyone use a Sandisk 64GB micro SDXC for their phones? I know few smartphones that don't list 64GB for the external storage info, just up to 32GB, but I hear that the 64GB works fine.

Can't say that I have, but I heard the same. It would probably work. If it doesn't I owe you a cookie.
![]() ![]() As for BB10, read some reviews, and most seem to like it. But it has a "steep learning curve" and doesn't really offer anything new that the other mobile OSes (iOS, Android, WP) don't already offer. Can't say the same for the Z10 which is getting good scores, but the build quality has been disappointing. ![]() http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/30/b...ry-z10-review/ http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Bl...-Review_id3236 http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/30/39...rry-z10-review

They can read 64gb just fine, but be warned that most have a problem when you try to write something to the card.

I was playing around with ROMs yesterday. Tried Eclipse, but didn't like how dark the theme was. Tried Icarus, which wasn't bad (more of a streamlined stock ICS) but it had some annoying things like the pulldown notification menu had a background image and toggles with a background. Tried Synergy (basically the GS3 TouchWiz), the one I liked the most, but the icons in the notification bar for WiFi/Data, Battery Power, and time were horrible (mostly the color which was hard to read). Tried to go back to stock, got a black screen. Not even factory reset worked. Fortunately I was able to flash back to ICS stock but that then requires re-rooting and restoring all my other apps.

The candy bar design with rounded corners existed way before the iPhone. You cannot patent a form factor. This is why I hate Apple.

I place blame with the USPTO for granting the patent in the first place. I appreciate what Apple has done for the mobile industry, but I cannot stand the way they've been patenting almost every assinine thing they can think of. It just reeks of them trying to stifle the competition, because I honestly believe they have nothing innovative in the pipeline.

They're just following Job's strategy of being aggressive (his nuclear war comment), and yes, they don't have anything innovative at the moment. The newest innovation that they have is a supposed iTunes streaming service coming, but Google (I believe M$ as well) has been doing that for a while now.

So my 64GB arrived and it works! I tried formatting it to NTFS and it worked for a while until it completely went away. It told me the card was blank. Does anyone have their sdcard formatted to NTFS?

No, mine is FAT32. NTFS is proprietary to Microsoft (Android is based on the Linux kernel). There are some apps that you can download that will mount an NTFS formatted card, but it requires your phone to be rooted.

Stick with FAT32. I've heard other formats give it trouble.

The Q10 is supposed to come out this summer, most likely May. So you'll probably get a chance to try it, then.
![]() Sometimes I hate my virtual keyboard on my phone, and would prefer a tactile one. I didn't really like BB and tried to see if Android had a good alternative. The best I could find were always mid-range phones like the HTC Status or low-end like the Samsung Galaxy Chat. From reviews the best alternative was shockingly a Symbian phone by the name of the Nokia E6, but since Symbian is currently dead I decided against it.

By the time I was ready to get a new phone last year and give up my grandfathered unlimited internet, the phones I wanted Samsung Galaxy III and the Nexus have been out for a while.
But I do have a MacBook. Is there any real benefit with having a iPhone with the MacBook besides the whole iTunes and the Cloud stuff?

To a degree, like with iCloud sync of Contacts, Calendar, Notes, and Reminders, but I wouldn't say its as much as the benefit of an iPad and iPhone

Ugh...don't remind me about losing my unlimited data. I will have to eventually with my next purchase.
